The Senate passed a compromise 100-0 until Trump got marching orders from Fox & Friends and Ann Coulter and shut down the government unless he got 100% of what he was asking for. That’s not negotiating and that cannot be allowed to be rewarded. You would say the same thing if the situation were reversed. Trump could have gotten his wall built piecemeal a few billion here and there, hell democrats have already signed off on billions in border wall funding since Trump has been President. It’s not about the wall, Trump has put Democrats on a no win scenario because if they cave he will just shut down the government over and over to get what he wants.
