I've said for months that I think Trump will win. And I still believe that. These polls are going to have to really rethink how they are performing after 2 presidential elections that show how off they are.
Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll has Trump approval identical with Obama's on this day four years ago –– 49%.
A 7% differential is not a mistake. It is a lie.

Completely irrelevant in the era of Trump.
Response rates for polls in 2000 was something like 35%. Today it's less than 2%.
Also, a candidate losing the popular vote and winning the electoral college was always considered an anomaly. Not so any longer.
If Biden wins the national popular vote by 2% or less, he loses.
As a matter of fact, he could win it by as much as 4% and still lose.
The national polling is worthless. Actually that's not true, it's only worth is as evidence that polls are meaningless.

The bigger the lie the more believable

Damn, son. This exact thing just happened in 2016 and you're questioning it. Wow, talk about refusing reality...

Hillary only led by 1.4 points in 538's polling going into the first debate in 2016.

if Trump wins again and this happens, it's almost worthy of a public inquiry or DOJ investigation
this seems like it would take coordination to commit, effectively fraud and/or influence elections, which could be a RICO case, theoretically

They aren’t seeking truth. They are seeking a result.

Is this even debatable at this point? As it gets nearer they'll talk about uncertainty and margin of error because they want to maintain credibility, but most polls are about impacting the election, not predicting it.

National polls, sure because states like California exist. State polls were horrible though.
But don't kid yourself - Trump is actually behind on the electoral map and it is not looking good. The Senate is in play as well, which is what I care most about.

Trump has defied every expectation of the American political class since 2015. The idea the election is over with more than a month before election day is absolutely irresponsible, but not surprising of the Mockingbird media.
