Biden predicts Fox News will still be around in 5 years, but CNN and MSNBC probably won't.

At his widely panned press conference on Wednesday, his first in 10 months, President Joe Biden forecast that Fox News Channel would likely continue to broadcast for some time while its cable news competitors such as CNN and MSNBC will be “not very much in the mix in the next four to five years.”
The prediction came after the president veered off topic while answering a question about school closures.

Biden then careened into a discussion of his own unfavorable poll numbers before predicting the future of cable news networks.
“One of the things I find fascinating that’s happening — and you all are dealing with it every day — and it will impact on how things move — is that a lot of the speculation in the polling data shows that the — that the cables are heading south; they’re losing viewership. You know?” Biden asked.
He then clarified that the Fox News Channel seemed far more durable than competitors like MSNBC or CNN. “Well, Fox is okay for a while, but it’s not gated,” he said, apparently referring to the fact that it is available on basic cable — as are its competitors. “A lot of the rest are predicted to be not very much in the mix in the next four to five years,” he said.
Biden quickly clarified that “I don’t know whether that” speculation is “true or not,” reiterating, “I’m no expert in any of this.”

Another slip. He probably knows they plan a state takeover of these media types.

I don't see either one going anywhere. They have zero credibility outside of the brunch crowd and it hasn't stopped them.
As long as they spew establishment propaganda the establishment will keep them afloat.

He's probably right. CNN will likely realize their cable network is dead and just stick with online where they dominate.

because fox news IS the new CNN MSNBC at this point, this has been plainly obvious since the election

When content providers like Styxhexenhammer is getting more viewership in one day from his YT and alternative media sites than CNN's primetime show with only a webcam in his home office from Netherlands, even potato head sees the writing on the wall for legacy media.

CNN and MSNBC only survived as long as they did because of living off Trump.

He’s wrong and he might know it if there’s anything still working in his head.
The leftist propaganda outlets have never been concerned with ratings or turning a profit. Priority #1 is broadcasting the propaganda. There’s no way yet to force people to watch, so they have to be content with just broadcasting the propaganda.

Biden would be way more favorable if he'd just actually be moderate. He's embracing the total far left of his party as if that's the middle of the country. It's his own fault.

Agreed. If he came out and said, "ya know, let's take every item that all of us agree on and start passing them piece meal. Let's get something done for once! The days of holding good that everyone agrees on hostage for the party in power's pet projects are over", and then follow through on it, it would guarantee his reelection and make him one of the most popular presidents in modern history.

Faux News should burn at the stake with the rest of them.
Controlled opposition is even worse than the outright enemy.

They'll be around longer than he will.

Well yeah. Trump exposed under a magnifying glass how dirty both those networks are.

Considering the BBB plan was going to turn journalists into defacto government employees.....that's exactly the direction he was alluding to.

I assume this means the government will subsidize these stations in the name of "preventing misinformation", as they call Fox "state media" when a republican is in charge.
