He was distracted by that little girl.
He breaks off from his security detail (goes left instead of going right) and then rides toward the crowd. His eye level is looking at the child's level and not at the eye level of the adults.
As he is falling, his eyes are still looking at her. (Again, look at the direction he is staring as opposed to where his eye level should be if he was looking at the adults).
After he falls, he immediately gets up and goes to that little girl. It was like he was locked onto her before he ever even got to the crowd and tried to dismount.
It's creepy as hell.

Funny actually. Every time they attempt to create a video op to showcase his vim, vigor, and vitality the dementia-crook-in-chief falls flat on his arse.
My favorite? Plugs trotting down the runway to the podium to speak. I recall chuckling and mouthing, "look at me the Olympic Torch Bearer". That was cringeworthy. One of many.
