This has always been the discussion when MAGA-Patriots try to proclaim they are the real conservatives and demand ideological purity from their pols/fellow travelers. They play a whack a mole merging electability with ideology to make everything "conservative", and love self labeling themselves as "small government conservatives" while then promoting tariffs, Social Security, and the police state.

It’s not like the court said it was a criminal violation. Actually, I’d have to read the opinion again. I understood that Biden found an administrative way around the

Biden’s talking about the PSLF program which was created by Congress in 2007.
Although he temporarily expanded the qualifying payments, he didn’t create the program, so I’m not sure why he needs to announce anything.

This is the opposite of populism. It’s simply an appeal to human tendency to ignore macro effect of policy when it benefits them on a micro level.
Don’t get so hung up with labels and terminology that you ignore what is actually happening. Throughout history, groups and individuals have sought to accumulate power and wealth, creating an elite class in the process. They have been known by many names, and manipulation is their most powerful tool.
