Well, there's the NFA of 1934, 1968, and 1986, federal background checks, restrictions for carrying in schools, churches, bars, and government buildings, restrictions on interstate private sales, etc, etc.

I love how these people still think it's 1925 and people are ordering Tommy guns via the mail.

Technically he's not wrong. 1st and 2nd Amendment have significant limitations.
Come and try to impose them.

O’Rourke also told the crowd, to great applause, that if he was elected governor, he would push to end permitless firearm carry and require Texans to get a permit.

Bold strategy Cotton, let’s see how that works out for him. Probably one of the dumbest things to say if you are running for gov of Texas.

In the real world, rights are rights as written. Not that we needed then written. They're ours regardless

I wish conservatives would abandon this bullshite Lockean nonsense. The only real rights are rights that you can enforce with physical violence.

Your inalienable "right to life" is completely worthless once someone makes you dead. If you can't defend it or someone else won't defend it for you, it isn't worth shite. The enlightenment idealism does nothing to change this.

Yeah but what is Beto doing to stop DUI's? Since he should know better than anyone else the dangers of a drunk driver.

Oh, bullshite. You have those rights whether someone tries to take them from you or not.

Does Beto have any security? If so he should immediately ban them from carrying a firearm and use one of these instead.

Yeah? Well frick you Puto! Just because spineless politicians and corrupt tyrants in robes have allowed our rights as citizens to be eroded and violated, doesn't mean it can continue.

Nobody ever taught you that actions and decisions have consequences. Maybe you'll learn the hard way.

Stop calling that pu**y mf Beto his name is Robert Francis O'Rourke
I'd like to be in one of his crowds and get a chance to call him Robby or Fran.
