They truly want to shite on the Consitution and change it.
Do you think Beto would support a convention of states? Do you think it would go how he thinks it would go?
LINK
The bolded part is clearly unconstitutional as laws in other states were recently shot down by the SC but Beto and his idiot supporters either dont know or dont care.

The debate over gun control was also one of O’Rourke’s, and the audience’s, biggest focuses during the event.
One audience member, who called himself “a little bit of a gun rights person,” asked O’Rourke what he would do to “thread the needle” about gun rights.
“There is no right in our Constitution which is unlimited in scope,” he said, speaking extensively about mass shootings in Texas and the need to find compromise about “common sense” gun control while keeping the rights provided in the Second Amendment.
While he said he understood reservations against red flag laws, he said there needed to be a way to intervene when it was clear that someone wanted to hurt themselves or others with a gun.
“Don’t you wish, because I know the parents in Uvalde wish, that we had some way to intervene?” he asked the audience.
O’Rourke also told the crowd, to great applause, that if he was elected governor, he would push to end permitless firearm carry and require Texans to get a permit.

Holy Toledo. Beto is the PERFECT fit for Dem POTUS candidate. This guy, Mayor Pete, and AOC are all going to be Dem POTUS candidates one day, IMHO.
They would all be perfect Dem POTUSs for where the American Radical Left want to take the USA - which is Leftist Totalitarianism.

Sure. Let's make cowardice, desertion, and dereliction of duty crimes for LEO. Why do we have it for UCMJ but not LEO?

Personal opinions of a failed politician. In the real world, rights are rights as written. Not that we needed then written. They're ours regardless.

When it comes to being a Constitutional, scholar, Beto is … very tall.

So will he and the other elected politicians give up their taxpayer funded private security?
They seem to want their ability to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Why can’t our families do the same?

Rights aren’t provided by the Constitution. The second amendment isn’t a constitutional right given by the constitution, the power over that right wasn’t delegated to the feds. Nor were they given the power to override state infringements of that right, that’s the state’s and its people’s own business. Both popular opinions have it wrong. It’s just not in the federal jurisdiction. It’s in the state’s, and if people of a state have an issue with their state’s infringements on that right, it’s their responsibility to deal with their own state.

He did say “no constitutional right with unlimited scope . That could be construed as all available at a given time , as they confirm it’s a living document. So yes if you can afford it then how could that not be a given right. Mad Max doomsday seems to be coming in fast these days

I get what he is saying, but don’t get me wrong as it would be the most extreme edges of a given right such as you can’t show raunchy shows on Saturday morning on network tv for kids to see under the guise of free speech and expect a society to function properly. That said…a government over reaching their bounds and needing to be held in check by its populace is really not that far fetched as we are currently seeing happen circa 2022.
This is exactly what the 2A is for. Not to go hunting and the usual crap they throw out as reasons to grab your guns. The 2A is there as a means to limit our overlords as they morph into such. The politicians LOVE coming after the 2A in particular in their misrepresentation because it is easily misunderstood and many folks are scared of guns as well, thus It’s easy for the left to prey on this Amendment.

Technically he's not wrong. 1st and 2nd Amendment have significant limitations.
Posted on 8/12/22 at 8:48 am to stout
Then there would be no reason for a Constitution, which is what these dopes want.

He better hope that doesn't apply to cruel and unusual punishment.
