If Beta isn't just excoriated for this on the MSM (which we all know it will be ignored completely), it just gives us more fuel for the double standard.
Cruz should put him on blast for this. He should cancel the debates and say "I will not stand on even ground with an avowed racist."

Having worked at a cotton gin when I was young I can verify Beto's claim.
The problem with it though is that due to the increase in technology (and thanks to Bush's ethanol bill), cotton gins are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
As an example... When I was a kid in the 70's/80's there were 4 cotton gins between Monroe and Columbia (Charmingdale, Bosco, Riverton & Columbia). Today there are none. Cotton ginning is now done on a much larger regional basis (the only one I can think of in that area now is in Winnsboro and that may be only a warehouse).

Most msm will not touch that. He's not a Republican.

Inb4 he comes in sputtering that he’s a Cruz man all the way. His knob-slobbering on Beto notwithstanding.

Your title is a blatant misrepresentation of what was said by beto. He used the cotton gin example because of his recent visit to a town with one. Regardless, I agree bringing in millions of unskilled labors is bad for middle class and low income Americans.

Beta sure did monkey that up.

Cruz should use this as a back drop behind him as a Power Point presentation during the debate and use a pen laser to point out his blank vacant stare.

Yeah, that's not what he said. Fake news.
And I don't support Beto.

If we're attacking that statement on the merits - illegals are doing the work Americans do not want to do because there are so many government benefits that make bottom of the barrel work an option. If the illegals had full access to the welfare state, they wouldn't be working the shite jobs either

O’Rourke responded by saying that it is illegal aliens who are working at cotton gins today.

I've said this before. Welfare essentially creates an artificial floor.
That being said, the solution is create a dynamic and thriving economy that makes living on welfare the inferior option. Welfare should only provide the essentials. And jobs should increase wages based on their demands for labor, not ILLEGALLY gaining employment

not really. he was replying to this guy saying the illegals are doing the jobs nobody who lives (in roscoe) will do. essentially saying 'hey boy, those illegals are helping the economy because people who live in that town don't want to work the cotton gin no more.'
i don't know how else you can spin it. its a very poor choice of using this as an example of 'jobs immigrants are doing' in front of a black audience.

I listened to it, not said the way Briebart titled it...
He did justify illegals coming here to flee from their circumstances in the vain of "America is the land of immigrants"
America is such a horrible racist place that illegals flock here by the millions just so they can be slaves for white supremacists.
