I watched it this morning and even Bessent doesn’t believe that shite.

Trump sold out to the Tech Bros and corporatists on this one

I don't buy this BS. Every real life story I've heard is of American workers having to train the H-1B's that are replacing them.

half the wages Americans demand.\

It's less than that. They only need to pay them $64k a year to qualify for a H1B, so that's all they pay them. One H1B I talked to at my last client hasn't gotten a raise in seven years.

I think the important thing for working folks is "why does an American need to make 100k to live in this economy."

Its not the workers fault, its the fault of politicians who have made the USA too expensive to live for any.

Agree.

At this point you either trust Trump or you don't.

He's given me a lot more reasons to trust him than not.

don’t know how Bessent can say that with a straight face. I’m in the tech field and was laid off for almost 6 months because everyone would rather hire a cheap Indian. WE train them and they stay on for cheap. Those jobs don’t go to Americans.

Exactly what I have seen at my last 2 companies.

And how much of that $64k does the staffing agency keep for its fee?

It's not even that... Trump will be out of office come time for the H1Bs to go home.

THAT is hard to trust.

We don’t want H-1B’s in our country period. Why won’t the Trump admin. understand that?

The only legitimate case of foreign employees training Americas are when another country's companies like Korea, Japan or Germany are building a plant here. Their tech and other employees train and manage Americans to do most of the jobs.

Wow it’s much worse than I thought.

That’s not how it’s supposed to work.

What a damn sellout.

So we're bringing in Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese and South Koreans, only right?

Nope. Send them computer and Starlink they can Zoom us what we need to know and never miss a meal of their delicious street food or a cow poop festival with their buddies. We’ll even pay them federal minimum wage.

Right. They're going to go back to their shithole country and their ugly neighbors after getting a taste of American money and liberty.

Sure.
