Baton Rouge and St. George will literally be America's own East and West Berlin.

St. George, like West Berlin, will be prosperous with small government and financial innovation concurrent with Western civilization. Baton Rouge, like East Berlin, will continue to crumble and deteriorate under failed Democratic/communist policies and leadership. All of this will occur with two municipalities that border each other. Total night and day difference.

Except, y'know, the barbed wire wall and the people getting killed trying to get into St. George

Hardly anything will change. It's a partial restructuring of local bureaucracy.

I don't have a dog in this fight. But the first thing I thought when I read is that if there is no wall, then it will not be like Berlin. If there is more opportunity in St George, then people will work there and either move there or commute.

In my opinion, Broomey is a racist for going after STG. She’s the David Duke of Baton Rouge. All hail the grand witch!

Sometimes you're better off dead. There's a gun in your hand and it's pointing at your head. You think you're mad - too unstable - kicking in chairs and knocking down tables in a restaurant in a West end town.
Call the police there's a mad man around running down underground to a dive bar in a West end town.

West Monroe loves the Ouachita River for just that reason.

Same thing up here. But we don't need a wall. We've got a river and a parish line keeping Bossier and Shreveport apart.

Isn’t it odd that the area with the money doesn’t really have nice things to show for it?
