As he should, these people are SCUM. Remember, a big reason someone is appointed is because they can get approval from the other swamp creatures in Congress. Why do y’all so easily forget that part?

This gets to my beef with Trump: Why did he keep appointing swampers to his administration?? You'd think he'd go for outsiders after getting burned a couple of times.

Don't take this as a blanket defense of Trump, because it's not. I've criticized him plenty on here for what I call unforced errors.

I haven't watched baseball since the strike but it makes a handy example. Imagine you get put in charge of a pro ball team. You have to win out of the gate, this isn't some deal where you can lose for a few seasons and build a program. Can you do that without hiring people who have experience in major league baseball? You can hire a few true outsiders here and there, but you cannot hire an entire team that's going to learn on the job. Now imagine that your most important hires have to be approved by people who didn't want to see you as a club owner to begin with. Now imagine that thousands of employees that you inherited, that you didn't appoint and can't appoint, sandbag every move you make. They slow-walk things, they "forget" about things their supervisors told them you wanted done.

I was pretty cynical when it came to DC before Trump was ever elected, but I had no freaking idea it was as bad as it was. You go back to 2015 and tell your past self that Obama and the DOJ/intel agencies are going to spy on an elected president, they're going to fabricate evidence, they're going to lie to judges, they're going to abuse NSA powers. Now tell your 2015 self that it all comes out, it's a matter of public record, and nobody goes to jail. It's stunning, it really is. And that's just one aspect of how they tried to undermine his presidency.

Like I said, he made errors. Plenty of them. But he could have been perfect and I don't know if it would have mattered. He faced something no president has faced, ever. Even if you gave Joe America President complete knowledge of DC, without the powers of a dictator I don't think one outsider is going to do jack shite in DC. Not in one term, not in two terms. Trump was always going to be a speed bump, we just didn't know it at the time.

Because the senate wouldn’t pass the people he wanted. At the end of Trump’s term he got smarter, look at how he got Ratcliffe nominated to the DNI post.

Even if a new person DeSantis, anyone won the Presidency do you have any idea how difficult it is to take on the beast. We are talking the GOPe, democrats and all of govt.

No matter who wins the primary the GOP will chose the VP if their big arse tent and money/connections are used.

Trump was naive at how deep it was. But don't think DeSantis would be magic, he has GOP ties.

The powers that be at the GOP will protect Turtle's henchmen and vice versa. It is a tight rope juggling all of this

A person would have to win the WH w/o either political party to truly swamp clean.

That is impossible to this date. I think Trump was a dumbass & failed in many areas. I am not a starry eyed Trump groupie; but he was as close as we were going to get.

Yeah and he probably had to pledge loyalty to McCarthy and his next grandchild for that. Remember they all said hell no, then saw Grenell get ready to expose them and they said okay Ratcliffe.

I am not saying Ratcliffe is a full blown rat but they could control him better.

The machine won't let anyone take down all the working parts. I think we all need to protest massively away from DC in peace. We have already done CAN YOU HEAR US NOW and Obama laughed.

It is dangerous that the beast has us as racist terrorists as then we can't protest without name calling. They want us all in jail, yet we can't even protest because we are branded as terrorists.

They have us right where they want us boxed in.

Why would he make this up? He’s doesn’t need to make this up. It’s plan as day the election was stolen , and the audits will soon prove that . Get you head out your arse man . This is our country that’s on the line . Stop playing the petty bullshite , Trump is going to be the nominee in 2024 get behind him , or have Kamala and the capital police force coming to your house for your guns, because you think and thought the election in 2020 was “free and fair”

Just intuition/speculation but a secret poll would reveal that the Repubs who are taking the side of that soft, portly, Captain Hedge are also the ones who were never really on "the train" so are surfacing again clamoring for DeSantis.

Wonder how long Levin, Beck, Berry, Sexton, Lowry and the others will be able to "hold it in" on this one.

Barr is the prototype of the swamper who's never missed a free D.C. buffet since he's been there.

When he first came on the scene tasked with the most important job to date, the investigation of a scandal that involved collaborators in 5 countries in a plot that jeopardized the Republic more so than any threat in its history until the pilfered election, he never promised anything to the Repubs other than an "Administrative Review."

It's 5 years later and the polly-annas didn't even get that.

Every statement he made initially was open-ended to afford him an out later.

Turned out he didn't even have to go to that amount of toil and trouble

What a weak softie to hang one's hat on.

But anything to get back at their nemesis - Trump.

I think you have that backwards. Trump has a lot of folks turning on him. It was pretty plain that Bill Barr wasn’t really going to be a Trump loyalist when he started letting all this time go by without charging all the major players in the Russia Hoax.

You are blaming Trump for turning in Barr after Barr refused/instructed investigation into election fraud?

He should have fired every person that was within his right to on day one.

....after he made them fire everyone under them 2-3 levels down.

Of course, Trump's never told a lie for political or personal gain.

HIs whole life has been a freakin lie. It's amazing how many people believe his lies or just don't care if he lies.

Trump could have been the greatest president of all time if he were not crazy. If only someone could get him to LA, Liar's Anonymous.

FYI,

2020 Presidential election Results:

President Joe Biden 81,284,666

Ex-President Donald Trump 74,224,319

Yes we most certainly did. For those of us who recognize the true nature of the UniParty®, our ability for such divination is both our blessing and our curse. Yet as in the myth of Cassandra, woe is a burden that we must shoulder!

I've always said if Trump couldn't take on the DC swamp, no one can.

The DC swamp won't be defeated without full fledged civil war and bloodshed. It's too entrenched.
