What are his chances

He's a republican in Alabama...unless he was cruising the mall in his 30's trying to pickup high school chicks...I'd say very good.

Why are you Bama baws so confident in this?

That yearbook was essentially proven false, yet he still lost. I want to believe!

The damage was done by that point.

Too many people stayed home and too many people illegally voted.

I have already stated here prior that Mo and Bradley need to cut cards to see who gets to run. Winner gets to run against Doug. Loser gets to run for Senator Shelby's seat in 2022.

Whoever wins the R primary will unseat Jones.

That was possibly the most accurate post ever posted in the history of the internet!

Doug Jones will lose to any Republican not named Roy Moore by greater than 40%+ of the vote!

Jeff Session received 97% of the Vote in 2008!

The rest of the country doesn't realize the real reason why Doug Jones became the 2 year Senator from Alabama.

Luther Strange as AG did a quid pro quo with Corrupt Governor Bentley. He agreed not to bring charges against Bentley and Bentley appointed him to Sessions seat.

Alabamians were pissed and voted for Lunatic Moore to unseat Big Luther Strange in the Primaries.
I voted for Congressman Mo Brooks. He didn't have Statewide name recognition and lost in the runoff

When it came down to Voting in the General Election even Bat Shot Crazy Roy Moore( Who was hurt by the false scandal) barely lost to Doug Jones by less than 21k votes.
Full disclosure: I voted for Bat shite Crazy Roy Moore against Doug Jones, because even a bat shite crazy man is better than a fricking democrat!

Richard Shelby who has completely lost the support of most Alabamians still won with 64% of the vote in 2016!!!

I'll offer anyone stupid enough to bet me 100 to 1 odds that Doug Jones gets defeated in 2020.

I'll also offer 5 to 1 odds that Doug Jones gets defeated by greater than 25% of the vote!

because Roy Moore was/is a special situation

Moore is universally disliked. Democrats are incensed by him and suburban soccer moms find him distasteful.

Plus, Trump will be on the ticket; so it really does not matter who is running; the Republican wins in a cake-walk

Trump cost the Republicans the seat in 2018.

Not because he is disliked in Alabama but because he listened to the GOPe and backed Luther Strange in the Primary

If he would have backed Mo Brooks then Mo Brooks would be the current Senator from Alabama!

I just want to see Jeff Sessions run again so he can see what conservatives really think of him now after he abandoned President Donald Trump and left him out to dry against a witch hunt rebellion in the Justice Department he was trusted with managing.

I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

Most Alabamians would, but I doubt that he'll run.

Doug knew the minute he was elected he wouldn't win next time. He accomplished his goal, Roy Moore isn't a US Senator. And hopefully never will be.

He’s a good guy from what I can tell. One of my friends from his congressional district knows his family and has nothing but good things to say about him, not just as a congressman, but as a person.

Sessions only problem is he was actually too honorable for the position in todays climate.

Jeff was so loved in Alabama that he was able to run unopposed in 2012

He won't run again but if he did he would beat Doug Jones by 30%+ of the vote.

Of course any Republican other than Roy Moore will beat Doug Jones by more than 20% of the vote.

Even Luther Strange that my fellow Alabamians punished for the quid pro quo would beat Doug Jones by more than 15%
