Greenland was already available for strategic defense purposes through NATO. If they work out an arrangement short of taking over Greenland, it will likely be through NATO.
So what does NATO give us? Coordinated defense structure.

I don’t doubt that Greenland serves a security purpose.
But we’ll see what it entails. Seems like NATO is not something Trump values much.
