quote:

Racists have started using DEI as a put-down for any successful black person because they are too cowardly to use the N-word anymore, the Mayor of Baltimore has claimed.

Brandon Scott was elected to the city's top job in 2020 but has been routinely attacked by opponents online as a DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) appointment, despite winning 70 percent of the vote.

The mayor, who has won plaudits for his handling of Tuesday's Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, warned that the term is being weaponized by the far-right as just the latest racist euphemism.

'We know what they want to say but they don't have the courage to say the N-word,' he told Joy Reid on MSNBC's morning show.

How did dude handle questions about the international flavor of the workers on the bridge? Why weren't those good jobs filled by local talent?

So fragile. No one uses the n word except black people. People are smart enough to know that you have so much to lose if you dare utter that word in public. Feels must be protected at all costs. It doesn’t change anything. There’s nothing you can call a white guy that is offensive. “A rose is a rose is a rose.”

DEI = Didn’t Earn It

That’s the most honest thing I’ve heard in a very long time.

Well, the Baltimore mayor is correct. The inventors of DEI are, in fact, racists.

Baltimore used to be a nice city. And the DEI’s ruined it.

That's the playbook. Accept the new shitty world brought to you by DEI. If you don't, you'll be labeled a racist.

Who GAF what they call you? We're way past that now.

Right on target and absolutely true.

DEI is very unfair to blacks who got where they are on merit.
It diminishes them.

The solution is to get rid of it.

People are only referencing labels that are being used, e.g., DEI, ESG, Trans, pronouns, etc. and brought to us by the left.

DEI and folks from the left use the N word in referring to each other significantly more than people of privilege.

DEI was already a weapon that was invented by racists. Can't get mad at a victim if they pick up your weapon and turn it on you.

Even successful black people are saying this about DEI. Besides, you're the mayor of Baltimore and anything but "successful."

Well my impression has long been that even though they maintain it’s for EVERYONE (except white guys of course), DEI is mainly aggressively promoted by the Progs when it’s a situation involving black folks.

You could have a panel on a TV show with a white gal, an Asian fella, an Indian gal and a Tranny and chances are good you still wouldn’t hear them patting themselves too much on the back for their “diversity” if a black person wasn’t sitting up there with them.

To me, “diversity” is just modern Prog-speak to really mean “black”.

You rarely see Asians or Indians preaching about it's importance.

Hmmm . . .
