Somebody explain to me why senators (John Cornyn and Tillis) or any congressman for that matter, need concessions to vote for an atty General?

They want the money that Trump won from the Trump IRS tax return leakage that Trump donated.. Thune has spasms if he hears any J6 prisoner gets a dime.
They also supposedly snuck in them getting $500,000 per line of the wire taps Jack Smith did.

Trump didn’t “win” any money. He directed the IRS director and the DOJ, from one side of the lawsuit, to settle the case with him, from the other side of the lawsuit, for $1.776 billion of your tax dollars. Additionally, he mandated the IRS and the DOJ, from one side of the lawsuit, enter into an agreement with him, his related entities, and kids, from the other side of the lawsuit, that they would all be immune from audits.
But Hunter Biden sold some paintings so this is all ok in MAGA world.

I purposely said "won" to knaw at legal minds sensibilities so a legal expert would lay it all out.
Did he win a settlement in a lawsuit or not? It is complicated but I'll start here.
My memory is a bit fuzzy, you can help. I prefer Sheldon, but you'll do. At first Trump designated monies from the settlement he won and didn't lose-- to those affected by Obama /Bidens political prosecutions and lawfare.
Thune et al...had 3 litters of kittens over it and started in on the J6thers better not get a dime blah blah. Folks and the Congress critters and everybody and their mothers were lining up for a deluxe apartments in the sky.

That reason should not be reason, reason should be because he is potus’ personal atty and will continue to use position to protect one man and not work for interests of American people. The.slush funds/IRS agreements is really a part of a bigger problem with his nomination.

With Democrats in opposition, Cornyn, Tillis and every other Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee would need to vote yes to advance Blanche's nomination to the Senate floor.

Cornyn had zero problem with the Fund for the patriots who were hunted down and had their lives destroyed by the Biden DOJ…
Until Trump endorsed his primary opponent.
The second that opponent won the nomination, Cornyn flipped.
Trump even waived any money for himself, including the illegal Mar-a-Lago raid, and is still fighting for the people who got crushed.
Cornyn only “cared” when it became politically useful.
Texas already saw through him.
The rest of the country and boosie, are catching up.
