Didn't Fulton County just charge some officers with using lethal force without cause for using a taser against some college kid?

It's what you get when you elect blacktivists.

So brave.

He assaulted officers and took a weapon from them. Who says he doesn't steal a car in his attempt to flee? He already demonstrated willingness to commit felonies

Luckily I never had to be in that officer’s position, but I could much rather live with killing a criminal thug rather than living my life knowing he killed or hurt someone and I had a chance to stop him.

Dumbass, you know what else is a bad look? Beating children, driving drunk, and trying to use a cop's weapon against him?

So should we put you down as being opposed to erecting a statue in his honor?

The real problem and the crazy part of all this is we're seeing policing tactics getting people killed.

That’s a discussion that can be had.

Not on this case. This is not about “policing tactics getting someone killed.” It’s about someone resisting arrest and assaulting officers.

Can we have a discussion about less-than-lethal assault by a criminal on an officer? Sure. But that’s just a largely philosophical discussion.

The way to stop 90% of cops killing people is to have people stop shooting at and attacking cops during the course of them doing their job.

Until the critics of police acknowledge that, we don’t need to take them seriously.

dumbass im not saying dont arrest the guy, just dont shoot him in the back as he tries to escape. they had his car, plates and info. pick up the drunk guy the next day, let him have his day in court that he deserves.

You seem awfully confident that a guy on parole that just attacked 2 cops is just going to be calmly sitting at home waiting to be arrested the next day and not trying to flee the area, possibly using violence. And by confident, I mean stupid.

I think we should be more worried about police so flagrantly using lethal force against citizens then. if tasers are lethal force, its reprehensible to use them for compliance purposes.

Someone was getting killed here either way. One person was the clear, unambiguous aggressor. I don’t think any person has a right to allow themselves to be killed. That’s not a “tactic” That’s surrender.
