I guess my deal is, at the end of the day, it's not like any of this shite is really making him any less effective.

I contend, he's about as effective as he possibly could be, with or without this sort of goofiness.

What would have hiring people different than any of these folks changed? It's not like the democrats would have gotten onboard with him otherwise, if he had just hired the "right" kind of folks.

I agree with you but at the same time I don’t think “good” people exist in the talent pool he’s supposed to select from. I had always wished he go more private sector people and Tillerson not working out disappointed me.

Less self inflicted wounds. Less news cycles for democrats to latch onto.

Sessions is responsible for Mueller and Russia hoax.

Cohen is responsible for Stormy and Avenatti.

Bolton may wind up being responsible for a drawn out trial.

He is, but where is he going to get people from? There are thousands in the administration. You can't possible replace them without hiring other DC worms.

People hang with people they have common interest in. If all of them are shitbags, then that makes Trump shitbag as well.

It's nearly impossible for someone to be tied to so many criminals and not be one....

Wasn't he good friends with Epstien?

It is difficult. Where is he going to get the thousands of new people from?

This has been a head scratching question for 3 years, my thoughts are it’s nearly impossible for an outsider to insulate themselves from the Swampers and still have people who are familiar with the DC Swamp. Trump was in a vulnerable position when he won the GE and that means a lot of faux supporters latched on to Team Trump and Trump’s paying for not being able to properly vet his appointments because he’s trusting people who aren’t to be trusted.

He was equally strong in his personality and was not as worried about boss approval. Not elected. Would NOT be pushed.

Just guesses.

It's not really the people who are failing us. It's the institutions.

Look at the cycle - the good honest baw identifies a promising prospect to join the ranks of our nation's government --> He joins. --> He fails to return America to its mythic past. --> He either operates within a failing institution or fails to reform a failing institution --> he is now "swamp" --> we become preoccupied by yet another new fire-breathing prospect --> repeat

have you considered that Trump knew these people were shitbags and he was giving them an opportunity to destroy themselves and they did just that? ... A wise man once said "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."
The President of the United States, able to hire anyone he might want among 300 million options, chooses to hire people he knows will be terrible, simply so he can get a gotcha moment.

That's the problem. The swamp is really a river with a current that sweeps all towards playing the game.
