About the same time we take note that DC is loaded with horrible people?

There have been articles along these lines about the reputational hit keeping away mostly experienced (aka swampy) republicans.

Oh, sure. It's a wide casting net, no doubt.

Right. Up until 2016, most of you thought DC was filled with great people.

Trump never did that, and that was his biggest mistake. Now he is paying for it.

Man, I remember that Obama campaign slogan! "Drain the swamp!"

Hired all the best people.

They reflect his temperment and judgement.

You left off some of the worst.
Manafort.

80%. 57 of 65 of senior positions have already changed.

Worst ever in one term and a year to go.

What don't you understand? Instead of even partially admitting Trump has been terrible at people selection, he makes it seem like it's some sort of recent revelation that DC isn't "filled with great people". You know, as if poor Trump was suffering under the delusion that it was until he found out the hard way...despite having copiously used the "drain the swamp" line in the 2016 campaign.

I get the feeling Trump is a little more trusting in what people tell him than I would be. Lol

But I agree with you that he makes some bad choices of people he surrounds himself with.

However, no other president has faced as big of an orchestrated effort to hurt him and those around him. Those around him caved under prosecution pressures.

Only one of these from the OP had to be senate confirmed.

Michael Cohen
Jeff Sessions
Bolton
Omarosa
Reince Preibus

The rest Trump hired with no restrictions. And he should not have hired them.

Also, have you considered that Trump knew these people were shitbags and he was giving them an opportunity to destroy themselves and they did just that?

And then they leave the WH, make a scene that may or may not result in congressional investigations, impeachment proceedings, book deals and the admin and President has to waste time, energy and political capital to clean up the mess.

from what I see -

1. He likes to be buttered up and is susceptible to flatterers

2. He doesn’t have a clear long term held policy on anything except trade (where he’s had no turnover drama)

3. Competent DC people are scared of being labeled nazi by the press

What is amazing is how they have zero loyalty as soon as they leave.

Hell, most go out of their way to hurt Trump on the way out. They go from working for him to hating him.

So is every administration. Lol

Hell if we had a congress with a sack they could have gone after many in Obama’s admin. Including Obama. Don’t be stupid.

yoiu forgot scaramoochie and a few others but yes, trump is too nice and trusting so he believes people want to do the right thing and be good and in that regard he is too gullible, see omarosa as prime example. she back stabbed him 3 and maybe 4 times yet he gave her another chance to redeem herself and the dimrat showed her true colors again

in the case of sessions, it was a reward for being one of the first to support candidate trump. he had no clue it was just a charade to gain his trust and spy on him.

cohen, again trump being nice to a half assed lawyer letting him get some lawyer cred to pad his resume and again the worm couldnt take the step up trump offered him and destroyed his own career for 15 minutes of fame on CNN

bolten was much of the same, trump thought the guy would choose america over profits but trump was naive thinking no one could be that corrupt and lack the slightest patriotism

with each and every one, trump knew their history but gave them chances to turn their lives and careers around and they chose opposite paths to take

Trump has admitted that he has failed with personnel, considers it one of the biggest mistakes of his presidency and he would like a do over with a lot of them.
