No fricktard. Diesel gets pushed into the rates.
So, so increase in freight does not affect other cost down the supply chain?
There is some argument that illigals taking some trucking jobs at lower rates but not at the proportion the way you guys talk about it on here.

During Obama’s tenure when his administration took action across the board to drive out carriers and brokers 25k carriers and brokers closed shop. I was one of them forced out after being in business 38 years.

If diesel costs is the complaint then I’ll go with bullshite. Regardless what the price of diesel is rates and fuel surcharges move accordingly. Customers not paying bills would create a huge problem, shortage of drivers could cause lack of income to cover costs or any other number of things but fuel costs isn’t the outright problem

Should make powerbottom hard. Think of the economic incentive to move to a Tesla semi fleet asap.
Oh shite. But that would make that evil musk man richer… shite. The moral conundrums powerbottom finds himself in.

Truck driver pay is through the roof and you think it is about diesel. I do love the use of the word retard, though.

Historically, the industry averages between 15 and 25 formal bankruptcy filings per month (roughly 180 to 300 per year) for mid-to-large-sized fleets. However, when including small owner-operators who simply shut down, revoke their DOT authority, or go out of business without formal bankruptcy, the number jumps drastically to an average of 3,000 to 6,000 company exits per year. I guarantee you their troubles extend beyond diesel prices.

Had an independent trucker run over my sign once... Hunted him down.. Turned out to be an illegal who just shut his old company down and started a new one... Can't remember all the details, but he didn't have nothing. I don't even think that he had insurance.

There’s a bunch of “fuel surcharge “ lines on many invoices
They’re passing it on
Kinda like “corporations don’t pay taxes” bs

These companies will just reopen under a different name. The trucking industry is super shady.

He ran off to the comfort of a different thread that he could make dubious claims of OMB's cognitive decline (yet another failed attempt to espouse his TDS).

It's like USAID all over again. Crazy.

And it’s only affected 16 companies? There’s over 2 million transportation companies in the United States.
What kind of question is that? It could be affecting every company, but not every company is equally close to bankruptcy.
