My great grand parents were quarantined along with every other immigrant from Sicily when they arrived at the Port of New Orleans.

Had to get passport a few years ago. They said my original birth certificate wasn't good anymore. I was born and lived my whole life in the same parish I Louisiana. So I go to clerk of court office, so while it took my hours to give all my info, my parents info, wait on them to go through this a lady who barely speaks English comes I no I d, gets birth certificate for her child in 5 minutes, crazy!
