What in the hell does that have to do with socialism? We have a mixed economy, you want less freedom and more monopoly.

Why so aggressive? I’m not advocating anything I’m just discussing.

I don’t have anywhere to discuss these types of topics other than this board.

If you've ever read Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, the Tailor reveals his shame at British and the west's failure to exalt man, he points out the ineffective nature of government in issues like the Suez.

Everything has pros and cons, capitalism is no exception.

That said, add up all Capitalism's cons and it's still better than mass starvation.

Don't be a milquetoast. Pure capitalism is based on consensual agreement between producer and consumer. It doesn't get any purer than that.

Not a fairness focus for me. Life/biology is inherently “unfair”. I am down with equal opportunity, not equal outcomes

It is a responsibility /leave it better than you got it mindset for me. Corrupt capitalism seems to me to create short sided, perverse incentives at times

...Therefore communism.

That is pure free market, not capitalism.

Capitalism is when BlackRock can impose ESG and DEI across America because they control the capital.

Again, capitalism does not equal free market. What you all want is free markets. Free markets are good. A hyper-financialized economy where the billionaire class dictates society is not good.

That's closer to communism.

Governments that have corrupted businesses to do their bidding isn't capitalism.

Of course it does in its purest forms.

Pointing to the lack of free market as a criticism of capitalism is tragically dumb.

BlackRock is not corrupted by the government. They run the government.

You conservatives just love to sit around and feel good that your ideal autistic worldviews actually means anything in the real world. Well, it doesn't. Economics doesn't work how you think it works.

Newsflash- All economies are planned.

Technocracy is where we are headed, you people will love it.

Massive monopolistic giants will run things for the gubment. Its like Corporate Socialism. "Experts" will decide policy (all hail Fausi!) not politicians.

Its a workaround to the pesky constitutional limits on the harm government can do.

There, your wet dream. No freedom to buy what you choose, its all predecided and safe. We'll all be serfs, but equal!

God could say the same thing about Free Will, weagle. Capitalism is Individual freedom; what people or groups do with it is their choice. There will always be consequences for beliefs and/or the "best (or not so good) approach". In this World, and the next life, assuming such exists.

High Tech is going to change everything, assuming we dodge the Fermi Paradox. It's good that you honestly critique, and question chosen beliefs. The Good Book says "prove all things".

No they won't. They run things for themselves INCLUDING the government. You really think the government is some independent entity? No. High finance runs the government. You fools want to shrink government, good luck. You need to TAKE OVER the government and use it to punish these corporate overlords.

Conservatism is so incredibly low-IQ, so simple-minded. You people have never had an original thought.
