Seriously? She was basically saying that religious Jews tend to be conservative. But secular Jews, who comprise the strong majority of the Jewish population, have a totally different mindset.

I think it's because people like the illusion of getting free stuff while also thinking they are somehow better people because they volunteer the resources of others to give people free stuff.
It's not going to be a "this culture" only thing.

It may be “free”, but it’s never enough as long as others have more.
So, let’s unite to get more from the rich. They can afford it.

Lol no… Jews historically tend to lean towards socialist ideals… also a decent of amount of Jews were either Communist or very sympathetic to communism, especially Russian Jews(Lenin and Trotsky were both ethnic Jews). Also the Kibbutzes in Israel are basically socialist enclaves.

No really. I like Sage, but her guest is wrong. The reason secular Jews are called Jews is because Jews are a race, not just a religion. Also, all secular people are not atheists. But the main reason many Jews have leaned left is because of the worry that Christianity will dominate American politics and culture and be forced upon them. This sentiment goes back to the early 1900s and was particularly pronounced as Evangelicals became a real force in the modern-day Republican party.

I have also heard that they are more afraid of being converted by the fundamentalist Christians than wiped out by Muslims. That’s why when even the fundamental Christians , who support Israel because they think it’s going to be a bunch of converted people to Jesus Christ, get treated so poorly by Jews.
