Does the prosecutor actually think he could actually fill a jury box that would even consider convicting him? This is Arkansas not California.

Did you mean illegal? Because it was. I'd defend him, though. Even give him a discount due to the circumstances.
The trial is going to be won based on what exclusions of testimony are permitted by the judge, most likely. If the judge excludes enough testimony about the vigilante defense, then the jury may never even hear evidence of that justification.

Maybe i'm an extremist but imo, if you commit a potentially violent felony, whatever happens to you happens. Get shot? Your fault. Get stomped to death? On you as well. Enough is enough.

This x100000000000000000000000000000. Our broken arse system allows a predator out on the street and a good man defends the life of his barely teenaged daughter and now HE potentially falls into financial ruin?
All because our broken arse system of lawyers and judges just taking the easy way out. Ridiculous.
Again, I may be an extremist but I think if someone defends themselves or others while YOU'RE committing a violent felony, I think YOU should be civilly liable for damages, not the other way around. Maybe I'm crazy.
