Would you prefer stopping them over there or dealing with terrorist acts here...I guess you think they will leave you alone because, like a soy boy, you think sitting on the sidelines gives you a pass.

Oh, like the Keystone XL that Joe shut down to prevent us from getting heavy sour crude from Alberta?

Definitely would prefer not but we need to be there to tell others to frick off. Let Israel get this out of their system and put a quick end to it. Special forces need to get our people out of there as well

We don’t need SPR. We make more than enough oil for our own use. If we had a problem it would be refinery capacity which SPR does nothing for. In fact, some of our refineries are tooled to refine oil that we don’t produce. If THAT oil got cut off it would leave us with a refined products shortfall but NOT a shortage of oil. And the oil in SPR cannot be used to ameliorate that.

Anyone bitching about SPR, from a strategic point of view, either does not know what he’s talking about, or is engaging in propaganda.

Long before Biden drained SPR I was in favor of greatly reducing it. And a company I owned had a service contract with them, so my personal interests were in conflict with my advice.

As I point out each time this comes up, we should have refilled SPR during the pandemic when they were practically giving oil away. This would have helped our domestic oil companies and would have been an obvious way for the Federal Government to make money, as EVERY swinging dick with storage capacity did. But the a-hole Democrats would not go along with it because it was Trump’s idea. But it had no strategic value, strictly commercial.

Given all of this - why do we have an SPR?

No.

Who would want a war effort with Biden in charge? Look at how he handled the Afghanistan withdrawal.

For everyone saying no here is what you don't understand...if Israel gets defeated then America is the next target. Would you prefer us taking out the bad guys over there or wait until they are pulling terrorist acts on our soil?

This attitude has probably created more terrorists around the world than it's killed.

I've served before and would again. Some of y'all have no clue on how much the Muslim countries hate America and would be happy to see us destroyed. If we don't support Israel then when they come for us we will be alone.

Did Israel do anything for us on 9/11? No. They weren't in a position to do so, and they never will be. They are not a global power. They are a regional power, designed explicitly to defend Israel. If this situation hits home, we are all alone. It's always been that way.

If you think Muslim countries hate us now, wait till we get into active combat with them. Israel serves as no barrier at all to keep us safe.

I’ll never support US involvement in a war where we aren’t being directly attacked.

I am fine with the U.S. giving logistical support and perhaps air support. I am not fine with boots on the ground because it will just be another quagmire where our soldiers are forced to be police officers and just get picked off.

Absolutely. We should start by nuking strategic sites in Iran and then carpet bombing Hezbollah and Hamas front lines. It will be over in a few days. It's time to show the Muslim world where they belong.

Hamas killed 29 Americans. We should absolutely hammer Hezbollah, and Hamas. If Iran wants some to we should completely destroy their oil infrastructure, and send them back to the Stone Age. Enough is enough with these Arab barbarians.

Finally some posters that understand what is needed.

Tell us - what happens when a nuke goes off? What do you think happens with the rest of the world's nuclear powers when that missile / ICBM gets launched? You realize you can't just drop one and be done with it, right?

I’m fine with this.

I don’t mind giving air support and supplies to Israel but they can handle Gaza on their own.

You do realize they get it here by other means right? Train, and the Line 3 expansion/replacement which is what they should have done in the first place.

According to my late cousin who was a tank commander stationed in Germany at the time, the USA had reallocated whole divisions, get their units repainted in desert camo and changed into unmarked uniforms, and flown in to assist the Israeli’s. Said this was how the Israeli armor that Egypt described as appearing from thin air came about.

I would bet money that is an urban legend. France was the main supplier of arms to Israel at the time and the US mainly supported Jordan at the time.

They told us that about socialism spreading and Vietnam, 10s of 1000s died and now their social kids are running our country.
