Are you for the US getting directly involved in the war if Hizbollah attacks Israel?

So, is Taiwan less defensive, just asking, cause this all seems to be destroying the Abraham accords, and distracting the US interests….No real strategic oil reserves left, just some crazy things going down, like it was all a big plan by our own leaders…

Currently- no.

If things escalate, perhaps.

We’re already directly involved. If you’re talking “boots on the ground” involved- Hell no!

No. Hezbollah isn’t even a country. Israel can handle them with us providing intelligence, logistics and weapons - which I am for!

We should be only selling them equipment and giving them intelligence. No free lunches paid for by our stolen tax dollars.

quote:

No real strategic oil reserves left,
We don’t need SPR. We make more than enough oil for our own use. If we had a problem it would be refinery capacity which SPR does nothing for. In fact, some of our refineries are tooled to refine oil that we don’t produce. If THAT oil got cut off it would leave us with a refined products shortfall but NOT a shortage of oil. And the oil in SPR cannot be used to ameliorate that.

Anyone bitching about SPR, from a strategic point of view, either does not know what he’s talking about, or is engaging in propaganda.

Long before Biden drained SPR I was in favor of greatly reducing it. And a company I owned had a service contract with them, so my personal interests were in conflict with my advice.

As I point out each time this comes up, we should have refilled SPR during the pandemic when they were practically giving oil away. This would have helped our domestic oil companies and would have been an obvious way for the Federal Government to make money, as EVERY swinging dick with storage capacity did. But the a-hole Democrats would not go along with it because it was Trump’s idea. But it had no strategic value, strictly commercial.

I am all for getting involved if Hezbollah attacks Israel!
The thing that worries me is our current administration's
lack of spine. If we let Israel be defeated by 2 terrorist groups, shame on us. The whole free world should be joining us to fight these barbaric thugs!

No, unless it'll somehow prevent a nuclear war in the region.

Israel receives almost $4 billion per year from the U.S. annually and has about 4m citizens. Basically, Israel is our military in the Middle East, bought and paid for.

Israel won't need our help to defeat Hamas or Hezbollah. If any other middle eastern countries join in, could be a different story, although it didn't back in 1967. Lol
My opinion, which means nothing, is America should support Israel fully, but no "boots on the ground".

Israel has fought a war with Hezbollah before. They don't need our direct assistance. It would make them appear weak if they even asked, so don't even expect it to be asked.

I don’t think they come hat in hand and plead for our help. I’m sure it’s a little more complex and nuanced than that, don’t you think?
