Are there skeletons in Steven Spielberg's closet too?

He refused to comment about Weinstein when he was asked about it at a film festival.

Three hours after The New York Times published its investigation into Harvey Weinstein’s alleged pattern of sexual misconduct, another of Hollywood’s most powerful producers, Steven Spielberg, demurred when asked to comment. “I think that is a subject that is not on keynote for what we’re talking about here tonight,” he told the Associated Press Oct. 5 while standing next to “Spielberg” director Susan Lacy on the red carpet of that documentary’s New York Film Festival world premiere. “It’s a subject I don’t shy from, but it’s not relevant to what we’re discussing about Susan’s movie today. I have a lot of opinions about that, but not for this event tonight.”
Spielberg and Weinstein have known each other for decades. Last year, news broke that they were preparing competing films about Edgardo Mortara, a Jewish child who grew up to be a Catholic priest after the Papal States took him from his family in 1858. As a producer of “Shakespeare in Love,” Weinstein notoriously beat Spielberg’s “Saving Private Ryan” for the best picture Oscar in 1998. Nonetheless, they seem to be on fairly cordial terms; this April, Weinstein told The Hollywood Reporter that he and Spielberg “once talked about producing [the Academy Awards] together. If we could survive each other, we’d do a great job.”

My neighbor also declined to comment. Calling the cops soon.

Spielberg strikes me more as someone who knows where bodies are buried than a direct kiddy diddler.
Christ, he’s Drew Barrymore’s godfather so he probably has a very good idea of what turned her into a raging junkie and alcoholic before she was a teenager.

Well, I know that Kate Capshaw sure as hell sucked him off to get her role in "The Temple of Doom", and we all paid dearly for it with the worst love interest in cinematic history.
But I really don't expect any serious allegations from him. These predators more like to hang out in the shadows and not be able to be recognized in the streets of your average town. Spielberg just doesn't match the profile of a sexual predator.

You don't remember when he and Lucas raped Indiana Jones?

This board is like the yodel game on price is right. Early morning hours everything is going well, news reports seem to be fairly consistent, then sure enough it just goes off the rails with someone going just a bit too far and it’s just crazy nonsense for the next 12 hours.

I love when leftists are treated the way they treat their political opponents.
If Donald Trump is "guilty" because he did not "disavow" David Duke (who he has never had anything to dowith) fast enough then Stephen Spielberg (who has had a lot to dowith Weinstein) is by God guilty here. Disavow! Silence is assent!
It is like these assholes think we cannot remember how they attack.

There's skeletons in almost every Hollyweird director's closet.

Seems like his movies always have kids in them

I agree. Declining to comment doesn't really mean that much.

Yup.
I stated this very point on this board yesterday.
The Progressive Left is now getting a taste of their own medicine on a REAL issue, not something made up. Not only is it real, but their victims have finally had enough of being their useful idiots.
So how does a group that has no shame and accountability react?
Just read this board for a microcosm of it.

And you're right in the middle of it, every day.

Kate Capshaw was 27 when she was in Temple of Doom and she's been married to Spielberg since 1991 so I don't think she has any bad feelings about however she got the role.
