Yeah Oklahoma pretty much.
For the most part it's true. Tulsa and OKC are definitely purplish but still lean red. Edmond (OKC auburb) has a crap load of upper middle class Karens and Kevins that have made it purple. If there's a progressive urban area, it'd be Stillwater and/or Lawton. Stillwater because of the University, and Lawton because of military brass. Most of the other smaller cities are reliably red.
I'm in a small town of around 3,000 and the statistics show us every year to vote +/- 83% Republican. Go rural here and it's basically arterial red without exception.

He didn't say "metro" areas. He said urban areas.

Orange County in Cali Is it still? That’s encouraging.
Nope. It hasn’t gone red since 2012 election
It’s still only light blue but it’s blue. Though in 2024 California had the most red counties since 2004 I think.

Baton Rouge! Didn't expect to see that.
It says metros so that includes all suburbs. That expands the map quite a bit. Any major city not on the west or east coast outside of a few like Atlanta will be red or purple if you include the entire metro
Baton Rouge city itself is not red

LOL
Atlanta is the sole reason Georgia is a swing state now

I see Houston on that list. This illustrates an important point - you have to distinguish between the core cities and the overall metro areas when bashing big cities. The City of Houston will never be a Republican run city. The best they can hope for is a moderate Democrat who won't burn the place to the ground. However, the suburbs are vast and they hold a lot of Republicans.
The City of Houston used to keep things somewhat balanced by annexing suburbs for the tax base, but thats about over now. Clear Lake and Kingwood were their last big bites.

“Urban” is pretty much code for black here. Where do the Black Republicans live? Narnia?

You are what you pretend to oppose

Columbus, Macon, Augusta, Athens, and Savannah along with the Black Belt make it bluer as well.

Provo. I know Salt Lake City is blue, but Provo votes heavily red.

See Cincinnati (and Dayton) made the list. Cincinnati metro area is made up of 4 counties in Ohio and 3 in Kentucky. 6 of the 7 are solid red. Only Hamilton country (downtown) is blue.
Same story for the rest of the state. Ohio has 88 counties and all but 8-10 are red.
