Are nurses also virologists?

I know there are nurses that do not support the “vaccine”, so this isn’t directed at every nurse.
Are the nurses on social media pushing the “vaccine” also virologists? All I hear is “get the vaccine, I’m an expert” or “the ER is full, get the vaccine”. I hear zero evidence based reasoning and 100% take my word for it. Is there some kind of dual virology/nursing degree I don’t know about?
Why would I take a nurses advice or anyone’s advice “just because”, when I have access to unlimited information that I can verify on my own?

Hell…. Everybody on the Internet is an armchair virologist. There was some idiot on here the other day that said that everyone knows that when a virus mutates, it becomes weaker. A perfect example of an armchair virologist speaking out of his arse. Unfortunately, not only are there nurses but there are also physicians who put on political blinders and go on rants for and/or against the vaccine. Set politics aside and just look at numbers. From a strict analytical standpoint, these vaccines are highly effective and if we could just get large sell buy-in, we could see life return to normal. COVID-19 would become a minor nuisance, instead of being a major medical and economical drag.

This. They also said the vaccine reduces severity of symptoms, but how do they know that? The severity was extremely varied before the vaccine was ever distributed, ranged from asymptomatic to 'call for last rites.' That hasn't changed, vaccine or no vaccine.

My youngest son had to visit the ER recently (he's ok, thanks).
We're supposedly in one of the "hot spots" in Oklahoma. The liberals in the area are pushing hard trying to get people to sign petitions to make schools and businesses force both mask and vaccine mandates.

I am a Nurse and a "do what is right for you" advocate. I am not vaxxed and won't be. In my opinion, the reason they use Nurses is because Nurses don't have a group of patients who can walk away from their practice like an MD might have. Those that create these ads think the public will still respect a Nurse as a professional. Notice you don't see NP's or PA's who may see their own clients and lose them because of their stance, just plain old Nurses... Also, the ads I see don't make the distinction between RN's and LPN's and there is a big educational difference there as well.
That said, it does not take a virologist to see that we should have vaxxed high risk folks only and let nature use our millions of years developed immune systems to bring an end to this pandemic instead of messing with an unproven MRNA vector and perhaps creating a monster variant that cannot be stopped, or side effects 5 years from now that nobody expected. Vaxxing the world was a money maxing, stupid move, and the breakthrough infections, hospitalizations and you need unending boosters are proving that true.

Well, since the overwhelming majority of patients in the US hospitalized for COVID are unvaccinated, one could deduce that the vaccine reduces severity.
