Hate to say it but I agree with SFP. Guy should have had a hearing before deportation. He had an order allowing him to not be deported. The Feds should have requested a hearing to deport him.
Now, if El Salvador won’t release the guy, well the Courts don’t have any jurisdiction over them. So, what you gonna do?

The judicial needs to stay in its lane.
In no circumstances should the judicial tell the leader of our country, the individual elected to protect our country’s borders and maintain its integrity, that he/she cannot deport an ILLEGAL NONCITIZEN.
??(I can do emojis also - makes you look so smart- not)
Edit: Guess I can’t do emojis on my phone LOL

This is a very stupid hill for them to die on. At this point it seems like it's just hubris or arrogance and saying that they just will not admit how big of a mistake they made and they're tripling down on the ruse.
Or it could be that they know it won't be their side dying on the hill regardless of what happens in the courts. This is a big political win for Trump because it makes the justice system look as out of touch as Democrats, and in fact makes the judiciary look like a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dem party.

There is an existing court order prohibiting removal to ES and the admin acknowledges both the validity of the order and sending him to ES was a mistake that violated the order.
Ok, so my hypothetical would work... return him to US soil, Immigration takes custody and expels to a different country... case over

El Salvador President already said he’s not doing that.

Seems like a risk not worth taking over one dude. He's just putting himself in the crosshairs.

Yes it could be as simple as that but the admin refuses

Like determining when the government engaged in illegal activity?
When has that NOT been their lane?

When that action is illegal, yes, that's exactly their role.
What other illegalities of government do you want to defend?

It is despite your ignorance. 80/20 issue

The Supreme Court already ruled this was illegal
That is not true.
They accepted the government's position that the deportation to El Salvador was in error. They did not "rule" on the legality of any action.
They ruled on whether to vacate the District Court's Order

What?
Laugh all you want but it's reality.
Trump wins in the arena of public opinion when he's seen as trying to kick out some illegal a-hole that beats his wife, and Dems/Judiciary lose because they look like they're willing to go to the ends of the earth for an illegal a-hole that beats his wife while they don't give two shits about the victims of Biden's 20 million strong invasion.
I'm not arguing that's all accurate. I'm arguing that's how it'll play out, and why you see Trump willing to let the Left die on that hill.

You can play semantics all you want but the highlighted portion is pretty clear.

In the echo chamber, sure.
They're also the ones promoting the spin that this is "defending gang members" and all sorts of idiocy that only works in the echo chamber.

It's currently playing out, and that's not how it's being received outside of the MAGA echo chambers.
Within it? Sure. The NPCs are powerful.

They can be "shocked" all they want. Somewhere along the line, judges lost their fricking minds regarding how much power they believe themselves to have.

Then the MAGA echo chamber includes about 55-60% of Americans. And that's my only point. Trump wins on this issue.
You really don't think a majority of Americans support the Left on this, do you?

At the end of the day, the Dems trying to make this guy a martyr are losing bigtime in the court of public opinion. When it's all said and done, the Dems will lose more voters SCOTUS will have to reign in these district judges. They are clearly overstepping and crossing the line of separation of powers.

First , before Trump took office the Supreme Court ruled that a President is immune when making executive decisions in the interest of the American people. Then Trump declared drug cartels, tda and ms13 foreign terrorists. A court determined that Garcia was here illegally and he was ms13. He appealed and a appellate court ruled he was here illegally and was ms13. Then the Supreme court ruled that district judges had no authority over the executive branch in foreign policy. Game, set, match, this was was over before the liberals ever even started it.

Come the frick on... You know if Trump said "Hey, we will pay for you to fly him back to us and then we will ship him somewhere else" the El Salvadorian President would.
He's gonna do whatever the frick Trump wants because Trump is giving him millions upon millions to keep that prison up and running.
