No time machine but can't the order be cancelled?

The problem isn't time, it's space. The order couldn't be canceled without allowing Abrego Garcia the chance to oppose a petition to remove the "protective order." I suspect he is going to be unavailable for the foreseeable future.

I agree with you about the perils of the judiciary approaching the same crisis point as the medical industry. The confusion over what level of due process is owed to what level of noncitizen is really hurting the credibility of the judiciary. Congress needs to make some bold reforms...add lots of immigration judges...set tighter deadlines for dispute resolution, etc..

That intuitive sense of liberty has been being trampled upon for decades, what is their point?

I don’t quite think this case is the hill to die on, but I was pretty shocked by the middle finger given to the judge here. I guess I’ve just been trained to view federal judges as mini-gods and you basically bend over when you enter their court room. This administration was definitely flirting with FAFO here. I guess they think they have the political support to do what they want, but it’s just another situation where I’m kind of warning, don’t cry when a Dem admin. conducts itself the same way.

This one person isnt worth the effort and time either side and the media has spent on it.

It seems to be the biggest story right now.

I dont get Trump risking his neck again over this one guy.

You seem to be under the ridiculous assumption that this is all procedural and not political. That's not how are co-equal branch of government is structured.

If the executive is defying a supreme court order then they are acting like they are above their co-equal branch in government.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking it could be done now but maybe DOJ could have done it first, then deported him.

Agree completely about congress needing to fix 90% of this shite. I won't hold my breath, though.

100%

They could also follow the order, bring him back, and then go through the normal process of deportation and there would be almost no way he would remain.

This is a very stupid hill for them to die on. At this point it seems like it's just hubris or arrogance and saying that they just will not admit how big of a mistake they made and they're tripling down on the ruse.

You obviously ... very obviously ... have not considered Boasberg's statements/findings in this.

Ignoring court orders is really f-ing stupid — I don’t care if the judge is an egomaniac a-hole.

This piece of shite is an illegal alien, a career criminal, a woman beater and was detained for potential human smuggling crimes before being released by order of the Biden Administration.

If this is the hill they want to die on, I say let them.

He is a criminal and was residing illegally within the borders of the United States. I literally don't give even one solitary shite about where he ended up, as long as it was a place no longer in the United States and a place where he cannot possibly continue his life of violence and unabated crime. I say, mission accomplished.

And it's nothing more than muh fight nonsense at this point. A horrible unforced error outside of MAGA echo chamber land.

They could fix this situation and get the same result but they refuse.

For years the previous administration gave preferential treatment to noncitizens/ILLEGAL immigrants over US citizens. The perspective of what “rights” the 1st group has have been significantly altered as a result. The judges who decree strictly based on their political ideology have played a significant factor in this more liberal judicial stance

Don't think I've ever heard what the actual mistake was... Read it was a clerical mistake, but what was it?

The hill they're dying on is the rule of law, Constitution, etc.

Only NPCs and idiots claim its' about anything related to the individual himself. That's wholly irrelevant emotional nonsense trying to hijack the actual discussion behind had (like good NPCs are prone to doing).

It’s a damn terrible piece of legislation passed on lies all in the name of safety.

Safety is not a word that should be in the lexicon of patriots.

I think the idea is to blend it all together as they flood the zone. Show no weakness while it's still in the news cycle. Claim it all as wins and anything holding up the wins is deep state obstruction.
