Only if you don't understand facts or only read tabloids.
Amazon was trying to bring 25,000 jobs.
They're now bringing only about 1500 and the other 23,500 will end up somewhere else.
State governments enticing businesses to come to their states is not a bad thing.
I wish more fricking idiots in Lousiana understood this.

I've had fellas who now work for me come away after working for amazon disillusioned at the job. It's a terrible job from what I've gathered. Every single one of them talked about how disorganized, chaotic, and really just awful of a work environment amazon had manufactured. I'm not sure that's the type of company and jobs they would want and need. Further, their taxes would be paying for those opportunities which many in that area would not get. They would be subsidizing others' jobs. I'm sorry but I agree with AOC on this issue alone.
Amazon, much like Disney are not your friends and certainly no longer need taxpayer assistance to thrive. Its like using taxpayer dollars to build a stadium in a poor area of town only for those poor people to be priced out of even stepping foot inside. No need. No need.
On top of all that, the only reason amazon is a juggernaut is the sweetheart deal they received from the government to subsidize their deliveries through USPS. I'm not a fan of government picking winners and losers. I'd rather let the free market decide.

They were a juggernaut long before they switched to USPS. and they were far more efficient using UPS.

This is like getting cock blocked moments from closing the deal at 10PM for an OT dime piece...……...then, at 3AM, someone throws a horny cross-eyed midget your way and you get laid and call it even.

Let's take out "obese" and add "cross-eyed" instead. Humor me.

Lol @ those idiots who say the billionaires are getting assistance. The “assistance” is them taking advantage of the current tax laws and keeping more of their money that they created.
Those entitlement programs are the main issue with our country. Too many people take in something and pay nothing for it. It’s a parasitic behavior that is going to be the downfall of this nation.

I agree
She is probably more savvy than I give her credit for being
But then again, I think she is dumber and certainly more dangerous because of her stupidity than Hank Johnson

She mostly gets away with it because she's the only moderately attractive woman the left has, so they fall all over themselves to white knight her.
If she manages to stay in politics, I eagerly await the media turning their knives on her once all the soy boys in the media stop finding her hot.

So, she cost the area 23,500 jobs, but showed Amazon????

If that’s what you consider educated, she’s the poster child to cut federal funding to higher ed.
I’d be embarrassed if she was my student. Especially in the ECON field.

And that's BS. The area in Hudson Yards where Amazon is moving into is more heavily subsidized than what was being offered to Amazon originally.

It’s either a)she knows that this does not even come close to bring a win but knows her supporters are dumb enough to just read the headline or b)she and her supporters are dumb enough to think this is a win. I’m gonna go with B for the bartender

She’s a solid left wing demagogue. Notice how she pivots to the welfare bill to attack Trump, as if the two things have anything at all to do with each other? I agree with the OP. AOC does have good instincts for the age in which we live.

You might be retarded. being amazon just moved into an area in new york that received 5.6 billion in subsidies, not in her district and amazon is bringing 94% less jobs. 95% of her district cant even get a job at the new amazon location because they arent qualified.
if amazon was going to get 120k subsidy for each employee over 25 years and after 10 years it would have been 25k jobs. thats 300 mil a year. again shes bitching about 3 bil in subsidies but the area where amazon is opening up shop for their new advertisement office just got 5.6 bil
