Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., transferred $1 million Friday to a joint fundraising committee supporting Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, increasing her financial commitment to a race that could help determine control of the chamber.
The contribution came as Ocasio-Cortez campaigned in Michigan for El-Sayed, a fellow progressive and former public health official who is running against Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers, reports The New York Times.
"I'm not waking up on November 4th wishing I did more to combat the smears aimed at Abdul," Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement to the Times. "I'm leaving everything I can on the field."
Ocasio-Cortez's political alliance with El-Sayed dates to 2018, when she endorsed his unsuccessful campaign for Michigan governor and traveled to the state to campaign with him. She also supported him in this year's contested Democrat Senate primary.
Federal filings submitted Thursday showed that Ocasio-Cortez raised $4.7 million in the third quarter and entered October with nearly $17.4 million in cash on hand.

Nobody should have $1 million. Why doesn't she give that money to poors?

So why don’t you give $2 million?

Her not waking up on November fourth is an option?

This i have a problem with. If we have politicians giving that much to other politicians for campaigns, there's a massive issue.

How does she have a million to give away when she’s in politics with a limited income ?
Plus she claims to be poor

Just a reminder: Ocasio-Cortez has never held a real job in her life other than being a bartender. All of her "grown up" paychecks have come from the tax payers and/or political groups.
A mere 7 years into her tenure she has A MILLION frickING DOLLARS to give away to another candidate.
She is truly living the American dream.

And to think she was dead broke when she first arrived to Congress.

Nah. That would be illegal if her campaign gave a million to his campaign.
So at least $998,000 had to be hers.

Think of it as a test of intelligence

You guys realize that million didn't come out of her personal checking account right? Are you under the impression that Talarico is personally worth the sixty something million his campaign has raised in the last month or so? Or Paxton is worth the nineteen million or so he raised in Q3?

AOC is a true socialist - she had the chance to give $1M to her district but instead gives that wealth back to the Socialist Party.

No she didn't, someone gave it to her to give to him.

No shite. My point still stands. She's a do-nothing, never owned anything, never operated anything, no kids, no family... She has never been responsible for anything or anyone in her entire life. She's never even had a job that required doing more than mixing drinks.
7 years into being a do-nothing Congresswoman she has a $20 million+ war chest and is an outright socialist. Truly amazing shite.
