If dems cannot enrich themselves or members of their donor class they wont vote for it.

This surprises me. You are normally very empathetic.

Empathetic to who? The gays, and what makes them feel best about their immoral behavior? Or the kids, and providing them with a healthy, normal, loving environment to be raised in.

The problem with the LGBT movement. Is it is always about the adults, and no one ever asks what's best for the kids. I will always be on the side that wants to provide whats best for the kids, not the adults and their desire to normalize all the issues they have at the expense of kids.

You mean civil union, a legal term for division of assets and rights. Marriage is for a man and a woman with religious faith.

The main difference is unlike marriage civil Union arent recognized at the federal level. You can are argue that they should be and so would I. If you believe it should be reserved for only those with religious faith, should the government recognized the term at all or should it all be civil unions and reserve marriage for the church?

Different states have had different laws for marriage and it's never been a federal recognition problem prior to 5 people deciding that they wanted gay marriage to be the law of the land. The qualifications for marriage should have never left the purview of the states.

Well Forrest, did a man or woman give birth to those children? And how will the breastfeeding go?

Adoption? I was adopted, by a man and a woman, not two men. It was 'Adam and Eve', not 'Adam and Steve'...........but I get it, all Dem men are gay or pedo. To each his own.

Fricking groomer.

Marriage is a legal term as well. In Louisiana for example it is codified in La CC Art. 86. Although it is unconstitutional in Louisiana's case, marriage is a legal term as well as a religious term.

They are forever trying to present their lifestyle as "normal", when every person with a brain knows it's perverted. You can't paint a cow pink and call it a flamingo...

this isnt going up for a vote because, as of now, the vote will fail. its that simple.

BS. They could pass it through reconciliation if they really wanted to. Have you just started following politics?

Didn't they just use reconciliation for the Inflation "Reduction" Act?

If so, no they cannot use reconciliation again this year. Besides, reconciliation can only be used for bills dealing with taxes and spending. Would be hard to get a marriage equality bill past the parliamentarian on that one, even if they hadn't already used the process this year.

Because they’re tired of having sex? (I’m assuming gay marriage is just like standard marriage)
