It's definitely worse than a bad flu- because of the myriad ways it affects different people with different symptoms, varying by age group and other factors... from being completely asymptomatic, to death.

I still don't believe, by any means, that it was worth ruining the global economy over. It's partly the conspiracy theorist in me, but bigger things are happening in the shadows.

Conservatives wish for it to be gone quickly so they can get back to work and the economy can get rolling again and Trump wins in a landslide. Liberals want to stay home, get paid, and they believe Trump’s chances take a hit as well if this lingers.

Something else is like that. What’s it’s called? O yea. The flu.

This isn't a hoax by the left.

Yes it is

All of it is.

The entire fricking planet has shutdown over this thing.

Hyperbole. Also, what is shut down is due to overreaction to the media hoax.

That means that the entire world is full of retarded and hysterical pussies, not just the democratic party.

Not sure anyone would disagree. Most of the places shutdown are democratic party strongholds, though.

Keep your head in the sand.

The left is over hyping it and the right is down playing it. If it wasn't the virus it would be something else.

False. The Spanish Flu was a bad flu. It was way more deadly.

Misleading because its really only deadly to old people with preexisting conditions. Which actually points to the opposite of your assertion.

The virus is real bro. It's just really not all that bad.

All of it is.

I mean they're using it against him of course, but they'd use the sun rising in the East against him if they could. That doesn't mean it's all made up.

Silliness. Trump shut down travel to Europe and China before and the media bashed him for it.

I mean just about the entire planet is shutdown. Many countries have shutdown their borders completely.

Nothing you are saying makes any sense man. Use your brain.

Panic has no boundaries. Mass hysteria is self generating.

Some have “felt” this way for over 40 years. This is how facists and pro communists in our government have be operating for over 60 yrs. in our government.

I do not see it as being explicitly-political at all. This is a worldwide reaction, not petty domestic political squabbling.

It IS true, however, that the Left and Right (worldwide) do seem to have distinct levels and types of risk-aversion and therefore are reacting differently to exactly the same stimuli.

Social media seems to show this pattern.
I like Trump’s policies and feel like this virus is akin to a serious flu. I don’t think we should be closing business over this. Especially mandated by the government. I’ve followed the numbers hard for 3 weeks. It’s serious but not scary. This feels politically motivated by the left.

What are you on the political spectrum and how do you see this currently

I’m a hard core right wing paleo conservative.

Worse than the flu, not nearly as lethal as SARS

They didn’t. The press carried water for them once again. Italy - cra cra leftist “we don’t want to look like racists” feeling made the situation 10 fold worse.

New York? Their demonrat mayor and public health leadership were encouraging citizens to go out to St paddy’s celebrations.

New Orleans? Again a demonrat stronghold.

Notice a pattern?
