That's just right. You nailed the part about dems and psycho but then advocate surrender to them by giving up the only real threat to their psychosis. The Republican party. I'll assure you the dems would throw a party for you and anyone else turning tail and fleeing and splitting the opposition which in effect is what you call for.

No. Libertarians have too many fantasy land ideals like open borders and unsound business practices. They are a whole lot better than Democrats but not up to Republican, even with their recent cuckoldness.

As I get older I'm moving more towards the center rather than further left. I like some libertarian views but at the same time I can not agree with everything they stand for.

i volunteered for ron paul campaign..a couple times.

i've always been the radical ultra conservative(i hate commies)...

but i am much more apolitical, nowadays

There is nothing wrong with open borders per se. It is the endless stream of handouts, welfare and benefits to those who have paid into the system that is the problem.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Therefore, governments cannot tell people where they can live, where they can work, what they can put into their body, or forcibly take the fruits of their labor amongst many other things. The role of the Federal Government should be to protect our Liberty and nearly everything thing else is unconstitutional. We would be far better off.

Instead, we have both sides of the aisle, running up debt, inflating (Counterfeiting) the amount of currency available thereby wiping out the middle class, killing citizens in their homes and in the streets for marginal crimes, invading foreign countries without a declaration of war, incarcerating people for possessing a plant, taking part of my hard-earned work to give it to another favorable political group, etc.

Without principles and liberty and non-agression, all empires come to an end. Just a matter of time.

D.C. has simply put the foot on the accelerator and it is coming quicker than most people can imagine. I sure British thought everything was fine in 1935 and ten years later....
Or the Soviets could not imagine a total collapse in the 70s and ten years later...

You couldn’t be further from the truth. Print more money, negative rates, interfere with the markets, more tariffs, use the Federal Government as a militiarized police force, ignore the Constituion, etc. Trump is far from a Libertarian.

The only thing Trump has done well is change much of the Federal judiciary and roll back regulations. He has been a disaster on nearly everything else.

And He is still better than Clinton or Biden which is why our country is fricked.

Yeah, that’s a fantastically comical view of human nature. How long did the “free zone” last in Seattle without violence? Ancap is not a serious idea.

As for the original question, small “l” libertarian, sure. I’ve always been a mix of conservative/libertarian. Capital “L” Libertarians are typically loons.

Now is the PERFECT time to start having these conversations. My wife is the perfect example of what I hope is happening all over the country. She’s a die hard R and always votes and supports them. That was until our R President, our R governor, our R county commission forcibly closed our “non-essential” business. Things have really started to open up for her. She is finally realizing that big gov’t is the problem and it doesn’t matter much of that big gov’t is R or D.

Again, I hope this is happening all over America right now.

The libertarian party has been around 40 plus years and most folks can’t name the highest elected official in the party today without google.

I’d say I’m more Christianitarian. I believe Gods word is the measuring stick by which government (and our personal lives) should be held to. That view is becoming more and more “extreme” in all of our political parties.

Is it, though?

We have plenty of outright socialism. Welfare. Social Security, and various other entitlements.

We have strict anti-trust legislation regulating capitalism.

The govt builds everything from the street you live on, the pipes that carry the water to your house, and the university you got your degree from.

The US isn't anywhere close to being "Libertarian". Like I said, fantasyland... But keep frickin that chicken.
