I was looking for the right words to respond to the OP.

I found them.

Until Louisiana gets its shite together and starts moving in the positive direction the rest of the south is headed in, absolutely no one from Louisiana has any room to shite talk Texas outside of Sports.

And that includes John Bel Edwards, the Greatest Louisiana Governor ever in Texas history. They think the world of him for doubling down on sending Louisiana's best and brightest after providing them them with a college education paid for by Louisiana taxpayers along with tons of small business owners and companies as well.

And I say that as someone who loves Louisiana and really wants to see it do well including dumping the Huey Long style corruption and populism that has kept the state economically uncompetitive.

Unfortunately there is a lot of shite talking that can be done on that front.

From an economic standpoint Texas is just a much larger and more diversified state. It’s like comparing California to Nevada. As much as California tries to ruin itself it’s still a massive economic powerhouse due to size. You can add that Texas and Cali have invested very heavily over the decades in higher education which reaps massive benefits in the long run.

I mean the population of D/FW is much larger than all of Louisiana, as is the greater Houston area.

JB said "when we sent" that implies ordered.

I spent 18 hours a day doing power line work in and around NOLA for 3 weeks. I volenteered to be away from my family, get the power back in the area (with bullets flying around) and sleep (if thats what you want to call it) on a gym floor.

Pretending the work you took on for compensation is equal to volunteer help is a bad look.

Did you make your normal wages while in NOLA? Next thing you are going to tell us is that you got paid time and a half or double time.

Hey, a-hole, linemen from dozens of states flow into hurricane ravaged areas, not just to Louisiana and not just from texas. In fact, there were many LA power companies who sent workers to Texas in recent years.

Can’t blame this on JBE. This has been a problem for a very long time.

Just cause he didn’t start it doesn’t mean he can’t try to fix it.

Maybe not, but I’ve lived in both and Texas is FAR better than Louisiana in almost every ranking.

Eat s##t JBE. You have the nerve to blame President Trump for not shutting down Mardi Gras. Way to pass the buck airhead.

Here this is for you....

he problem is that Louisiana is not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

I see what you did here. Unfortunately, DMAN1968 doesn't.

And JBE has done nothing to fix that problem.

In fact, he refuses to and has doubled down on it with his high tax policies, economic red tape, legacy lawsuits against oil and gas and growth of government over the private sector.
