That's because it hasn't risen.. Check out any State you want. And YES, I know the Chicken Littles say.. Just wait a week or 2....well, the Covid rise been going on for a few weeks now and NOTHING.

This is what you’d expect from a virus, get more virulent and less deadly to continue spreading itself…any super deadly version would burn out quick

Yep. But with no rise in deaths why the all out panic and mask mandates. Makes zero sense.

I "heard" deaths will lag "two weeks" behind the current "cases"... So, if you are not dead in two weeks, check back and there is a possibility we will be discussing deaths or the lack of deaths...

I would love to hear the spin the news will say when the deaths don't rise and people know this isn't that bad.

Before a rise in deaths ever occur, you see a big rise in total cases. That is what is going on right now. Obviously the concern is that the deaths will eventually follow. They may not, and hopefully they don't.

It's called closing the barn door BEFORE the horse escapes.

In LA the big numbers started hitting just over 2 weeks ago, and the State is now starting to see double digit deaths. However, it has been stated a number of times that the deaths lag in reporting for 2 reasons (not even getting into the if or with argument). Most deaths do not happen over night, takes a few days/weeks. Then on top of that, it takes time for the death certificates to be finalized, approved, and posted to the stats. So, it does take some time, and we should start seeing the deaths from the beginning of the surge in LA to come in over the next week.

With all of that said, I don't think the death numbers will be at the level that they can use for fear porn, so they will continue to rely on cases and "think of the children"

Go ahead and mark it... WHEN deaths do not rise like they expect, the focus will turn to the permanent side affects of having Covid, whether they really exist of not... Everyone's brother will be having breathing problems, heart issues, etc...

Louisiana hospitals are at height of pandemic capacity levels unless you want to ignore that

So would it be safe to say no progress has been made in the 6 months Biden has been in office?

It is concerning how high they are, but they still need to increase another 30% to get there.

You have to think like a profiler on a serial killer case.

Think like the perpetrator: power and control.

None of that changes the fact that on the day mask mandates were lifted we had 700+ COVID deaths, and the day they said vaxxed ppl need to mask up was sub 200. Case totals were similar within 10% if I remember.

The death rate is steadily dropping and has been for over two months. The lag in death numbers reporting should be irrelevant at this point unless I’m missing something which I usually am.

I don't think you are. IMO, the death rate is declining for multiple reasons, and some combination. The initial waves affected the most vulnerable to worst, people have developed natural antibodies, Vaccination availability, doctors have more information on how to treat, variants are usually weaker than original.

The fact that they are not talking about the death rates, makes me believe they don't believe a lot of the shite they are saying. But, there is still a possibility we haven't seen "the spike" in deaths

Throw in a little greed. Lots of Dem loyalists making bank on Covid (and white supremacy and the border and climate change).

That's not happening Mick. The fear porn press has been harping on the case rate for 2-3 weeks....we should see the requisite spiking of deaths now....this week, but the rate has been steady with an average of 8-10 deaths a day per state. Far below the spike at the last week of May.

Look dude, tell your democrat friends that we are through with being mandated to. We are not listening to this shite anymore.

I think we'll see a slight uptick but since so many of the at risk are vaccinated it won't be as severe as we've seen in prior waves.
