Yes if you are obese or diabetic which sadly is good amount in this country. Healthy people with no comorbidities had little issue. We are an unhealthy nation and Covid just magnified that.

My biggest fear are the non vaxers.

You can subdue this fear by permanently locking yourself away from the rest of society. Forever. It'll work.

...I cannot take this post seriously though. Obvious troll. I laughed pretty hard though. If you were serious, however, then may GOD have mercy on your weak mind and soul. You really should just get a few more cats and never seek daylight or fresh air again.

Why do people try to downplay the severity? Does it make them look tough or something
Yep. If it was simply a cold, why were people desperate to get ivermectin and take half a dozen or more supplements prophylactically or during the illness?

I took the first two when they became widely available. Never got covid, never had any side effects (I think I felt crumby for like a day?), never got around to gettting any boosters. No regrets.

Also, link to this stat?

You need a link? How about we just do the math. According to the cdc, the USA has had 103 Million reported cases. We have been told multiple times that in many instances (upwards of 50% of cases) covid has no symptoms at all. Meaning there has been 103 Million and another 100+ Million unreported. That comes to over 200 Million cases.

CDC website also says there has been 1.12 Million deaths. If we take 1.12M / 200M we get .56 percent. The survival rate in this case is 99.44%.

However, if we look at the number of people that died FROM covid as opposed to WITH covid, the death total is FAR lower. Leading to my statement that the survival rate is 99.9999%. Let's assume that 99.9999% is wrong and 99.44% is right. Should we be morbidly afraid of something that 99.44% of people will survive just fine? I think not.

So I'm guessing now that the shot and one booster I took will serve me n o purpose going forward.

The whole concept of vaccine regret is something that is completely overblown by the people on this board and the anti vax obsessed loons

bullshite. I took that damned vaccine because I was sick of our children and our economy getting screwed. I knew it was nasty, untested stuff but I was willing to sacrifice my own middle-aged arse so that others could have a shot at the kind of successful life I had already lived.

I still think that was noble, but it is clear the vaccines DO NOT WORK. I sacrificed my own health for NOTHING. You losers are still wearing masks, still terrorizing the ignorant with your variants, etc.

And my health has declined precipitously since I got the shot. The specifics are embarrassing and depressing. I basically fast-forwarded from 45 years old to 65.

You people talk about reparations... I deserve reparations. Covid should never have been more than 15 minutes on the (unwatched) nightly news, and you deserve the wrathful judgment of God for what you posted.

I took the vax after talking with my doctor and family. I don't necessarily regret it, but with the luxury of hindsight, I would not have taken it.

I may come to regret it later. But so far, I haven't had any reason to "regret" it.

The summer before COVID I sold everything, moved out to Missouri for a job at Fort Leonard Wood. Figured this was a long term decision so we bought a house here. My wife has fibromyalgia and is unable to hold down a steady job because of it. I work for the federal government and when COVID happened and they developed the first round of vaccines they did the mandate thing. I held out for 10 months at which time they said they were going to start letting people go who didn't provide proof of vaccination. At the time my wife and I had also started fostering two young children, who we were made to believe we'd be able to adopt. Add to that, I live out in the sticks, aren't many cartographer or geospatial jobs in the private sector around here so I was kinds of stuck. So between just moving here, jut buying a house, wife unable to work, and had I lost my job we would have assuredly lost the kids, I felt pressured to take the jab. I did the J&J for the single dose and never took any boosters but regret taking the first shot, but don't regret making a sacrifice to ensure I could keep providing for my family.

Are there some people who regret taking it? Sure. But they're certainly a slim minority.

I hope they keep taking the clot shot
