Is this the one that was missing?

EDIT: The serviceman was killed Saturday during an attempted controlled detonation of an unexploded Iranian drone. Also, unidentified remains have been found from the Jordan attack. Probably the missing serviceman

RIP, but ultimately, they knew the risks when signing up. These aren’t drafted soldiers.

They should be commended for fighting and dying against an evil empire, but enough with this nonsense that they died against their will

I believe they’re still waiting for dna confirmation. There may have been one death that wasn’t counted though. I saw something on X earlier

The military is not some organization where you just hang around for a time and get paid and money for college/university.

There is risk associated with it, which is why it is highly paid.

I believe the found the body of another service member from the attack in Jordan in addition to the soldier killed in Iraq trying to disarm an Iranian drone

it's kinda crazy bc if you pay 100k, you'll have faster access to the plans

during the controlled detonation

I don't understand how that happened unless it was tactical speed job. Normally for controlled stuff they're really, really careful about everybody being out of harm's way before detonation.

So…you weren’t in the military I see. It is the opposite of “highly paid”. LOL

So you are saying that provided housing and meals has no value?

It reminds me of the "teachers are underpaid" falsehood, but for different reasons.

If someone was killed performing a controlled detonation, it is because the explosive was not stable or the “downed drone” was still weaponized. Do mistakes happen…sure, but who knows what happened here. I’m pretty sure it isn’t like most people are thinking and the guy didn’t use a long enough fuse or take proper cover. Something probably malfunctioned.

Yes, this whole thread is the very essence of suggesting otherwise.

Jesus Christ man….do you really want to try and argue that the military is “highly paid”. Really?

They are not highly paid, but they have great benefits, especially the rather shady though well earned disability program. I guess it is just another way of deferring compensation and annuitizing to make ends meet.
