Is this the judge who added an addendum to his ruling that is like a 12 page rant about Trump's personality?
Yes, it is.
According to Grok:
Seems totally appropriate.
Also, I believe this guy was appointed by Reagan as part of an agreement with Tip O'Neill to appoint bipartisan judges. Remember when the two sides used to actually work together and compromise with each other?
Yes, it is.
According to Grok:
quote:
The opinion ends with an extended personal reflection, invoking a quote from Young's wife ("He ignores everything and keeps bullying ahead") to critique Trump's governance style, warning that the president cynically exploits public division to erode rights, and calling on Americans to defend constitutional values. Young described this as his "most important" ruling in 30 years on the bench.
Seems totally appropriate.

For citizens... it isn't exactly rocket science to not speak ill or go activist against the country you are visiting.
They have the specially granted permission to be here as long as, and no longer than, the executive will have them.

I get this line of thinking. I didn’t read the article or the opinion, are these people saying anti-American things or are they only pro-Palestine?

The two go hand in hand... ask Shapiro, a democrat.

The Judge is clearly saying that if you are here legally, the constitution applies to you. This means the 1st Amendment.
Why are the reactionary right so dense when it comes to this stuff? If we are at war with some country or the person here is actively engaged in illegal activity to oppose the government or they are found to be operating on behalf of another government they will be deported.
If they are here legally and say something that the administration doesn't like that needs to be tolerated. If we start down this path the 1st becomes meaningless and that will come back to bite the right when they are out of power.
For the love of Trump some of yall are willing to toss the constitution out the window.

Frick that. It's disrespectful to go to another nation and do what they've been doing. They need to know their place. Having an opinion in a coffee shop isn't the same as protesting/rioting.
"Here legally" =/= Citizen.

The constitution applies to everyone in the USA. If you don't like that get out. Some of yall never had a basic civics class or you failed the one you took.
The God Given Rights expressed in the Bill of Rights and Constitution are not something that apply to only citizens.

Lol... duh! A university should be a place for learning and not allow traitorous agitators to provoke violent "protest".

Well if he was appointed by Reagan he is a boomer and is probably losing his mind.
We seem to have an epidemic of boomers going woke and stupid

If their opinion is that innocent women and children should be murdered then yes, they are undesireable. A US citizen has some right to speak that opinion but a guest does not
