How did you come up with this figure?

Success rate for appeals raising claims of actual innocence. People like you often ignore the fact that a criminal defendant enjoys a robust right to an appeal. A claim of actual innocence can be raised on appeal. A defendant can also file a habeas writ. To act as if “wrongful convictions” of actually innocent people are widespread is to be willfully ignorant of reality.

Do you think it's right that the state of Alabama refused to compensate someone wrongly convicted and who sat on death row for 30 years? How about the cop that arrested him saying "maybe you didn't do it but just consider it taking one for your homies"? You think this is an isolated case?

Did you vote for Kamala Harris?

I already know cubbies did.

I’m sure the consensus is that Trump belongs with these guys working on The Farm. After all, he shouldn’t have committed the crimes if he didn’t want to do the crime.

You do realize that Louisiana law specifically authorizes both incarceration and hard labor as punishment for certain crimes? It’s not unconstitutional to impose a punishment of hard labor for committing a crime. Some states do not have a similar punishment scheme, but Louisiana does. If you do not think this punishment is fair, then you can lobby your legislator to change the laws.

What this SJW lawsuit is attempting to do is to change Louisiana’s lawful punishment scheme via unelected judges in a federal court. It’s the anthesis of “democracy.”

I do believe it. I have a good friend who works as a nurse in a prison in AZ and she tells me of the inadequate supplies and staff there. So I can only imagine how much worse Louisiana would be.

Who runs prisons?
Some are privately run. Some are run by various branches of government, local, state and federal.

So any topic that has any connection to any branch of government is political? Nah, that's just stupid.

You're just craving your attention for the day.

That is such an intellectually lazy response. I challenge you to look through my posts and find any content from me supporting liberals. I didn't realize that not wanting the government to railroad innocent people was viewed negatively by conservatives but apparently some of you see it that way. I guess you also believed the Duke Lacrosse players were guilty too.

How did you draw this conclusion? When have I ever posted in support of her or about her at all?

What’s the point of even bringing that up in this thread?

Why are you in this thread discussing me instead of the topic? Isn’t that giving me attention? I challenge you to discuss the topic instead of me. That would really teach me a lesson.

She campaigned against the death penalty then withheld evidence in a case against a man that was sentenced to death.

He was probably innocent and is still on death row.

Shes the vice president. 81 million people voted for the top cop of California. Im simply asking if you were one of those.

I would imagine at least the national average of 4-6%. Louisiana has the highest incarceration rate though so I would have to guess the % is higher for them.

Because you always make any topic about YOU. You started this topic to get noticed. Otherwise you would have started it on the O-T Lounge Board where it belongs and where the topic would be issue and not the attention whore who started the topic.

You know damn well I didn't for Harris or any democrat. Stop acting like a lazy liberal and look through my posts like I told you to. I've never voted for any democrat and I bet I'm one of the few people here who can claim that. You oldies really used to love them.
