I had the same reservations when the show came out, and was pleasantly surprised after binge watching the first season. It is very well written, funny, and really frames the cultural issues of modern America. The overarching message is that America is changing. Somethings are worth embracing, but others are worth hanging on to. I have not seen beyond season 1 , so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Sorry if any spoilers. Too much binge watching one weekend. Great show, though. So of course, it will get cancelled.
