They have the pics of enough gop sent store in compromising positions to get the votes.

right up until Schumer decides that 60 votes (or even 51 votes) requirement is racist. At the rate this is going, all future senate decisions that are deemed to be for "racial fairness" can be passed with only 20 votes = representative of percentage of black people resident in country. == just so we eliminate 'systemic racism' from stopping the simple desires that the DEMs insist they know about what is 'good for black people."

Dunno. Go ask Venezuela.

Yep, if they pack the court the 1st and 2nd Amendments and our 401K accounts will be gone, gone with the wind. And that will just be for starters, it goes downhill from there

Anyone who cares about this country should be pushing for a constitutional amendment to set the number of supreme court justices at 9 or less.

Not when they cancel the filibuster.
Folks, they’ve already decided to cancel the filibuster. They just haven’t told us yet. They will quietly do it when they have manufactured some crisis and those darned republicans are obstructing its passage. Then they will cancel it saying it’s the GOP’s fault.
Wake the frick up, people. This is happening.

We need names of the commission.
We absolutely need to do this. It’s time to take it to them on a personal level. Wreck their lives personally. Quit being above that and get dirty. Guerilla warfare is the only option left to us, let’s use it.

It will have to get a lot worse before it can get a little better.
My prediction: Suffering.

That would not stop them. It didnt stop them from screwing around with the 2nd amendment.
Shall not be infringed is extremely clear. It means there are to be no laws to infringe on anyone's right to a firearm. I personally believe that every single gun law on the books is unconstitutional. If there is to be any restriction on guns, the second amendment would need to be AMENDED, then laws could be written to restrict things. (I understand the need for some restrictions (felons and mentally ill, etc) but the government has not done it in the proper way because they feel they dont have too).

Strap in. And like the OP said, get ready to make a choice and live with the consequences.

This board has become so melodramatic it's not even funny anymore.
But this does raise a good point as to why there's no term limits here. Always thought that was werid especially for a position so important

Unless I missed something how does the infrastructure bill remove the filibuster?
I thought they were using budget reconciliation for that.
Well, there's a lot of pork that can be distributed in exchange for future votes and I don't think they can use budget reconciliation to raise taxes and the minimum wage?

Agree, save possession by convicted felons, and I would have no angst if that was limited to specific felony convictions. Example: I don’t care if some dude who sold 3 ounces of weed to an undercover cop in 94 now owns a fun(s). Edit gun(s)

The SC was one vote away from tossing away our constitutional rights to both assembly and religion in that Cali case. I think we've already lost.
