Being sexually assaulted by a homeless man on the streets of Los Angeles tends to change one's perspective. She is still left of center but the woman has abandoned the bat shite progressive lunatics that she supported in that video eight years ago.

This is an example of the decades old saying a liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet.

I don't know what is in her mind or heart but when I heard her speak about the assault she was more offended /more alienated by leftists and progressives accusing her of being a racist because she was talking about her assault

And it was a white guy

That Canadian Politician eating the apple hit the nail on the head. The media wants to make everything out the outlier BS stuff and get people all riled up. At the end of the day, people like Trump are just making the common sense choices but at the same time are not wasting time with the MSM clickbait emotional gotchas.

The special thing about Trump is his ability to even control the MSM emotional gotchas with his trolling ability (ie Canada as 51st state and Gulf of America).

One of the biggest scams there is. Remember DeBlasio's wife's ThriveNYC program? $850 million dollars unaccounted for, can't produce any data to show any positive results, who cares, we'll make the program permanent and grant it even more money.

quote:

In November 2015, McCray led the launch of ThriveNYC, a plan to overhaul the city's mental health and substance abuse services.[22][23] ThriveNYC promotes a shift from a traditionally more reactive model, which can strain police, prisons, hospitals, and schools,[24] to an integrated public health approach focusing on awareness and early identification.[25][26] In February 2019, Politico criticized ThriveNYC for having an "opaque budget" and "elusive metrics".[27] In a March 2019 article on ThriveNYC, The New York Times reported: "Public health officials credit the plan for drawing attention to mental health… At the same time, some initiatives failed to get started, while others placed unrealistic demands on already strained mental health services". The Times added: "A spreadsheet of nearly 500 data points tracked by City Hall included almost none related to patient outcomes".[28]

ThriveNYC drew harsh criticism over allegations of mismanagement and accusations that it had failed to produce records of tangible results.[3] As of March 2019, nearly $850 million in funding for McCray's mental health program was unaccounted for; furthermore, the program was on track to spend $1 billion over five years. Bronx Councilman Ritchie Torres criticized ThriveNYC, stating that there was "no evidence it’s working".[29]

In 2021, ThriveNYC was made permanent by executive order, "rebranded" as the Office of Community Mental Health, and allocated a further $115 million. The spending plan includes $96 million for B-HEARD, an initiative that dispatches EMTs and social workers as first responders to 911 calls involving mentally ill people in an effort to prevent confrontations with the police.
