So the OP is blaming the end of America on this one decision.
Not Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, 3 letter agencies, fraud, borders, illegals, wokeism, or anything else.

Oh BS. Most of the time when she rules against Trump admin, it's on procedural matters. When it is actually the merits of the case, she usually rules in his favor. Guess you didn't notice how the other side completely hates her.

Trump has a weakness for women like Bondi and Barrett. He sees their physical attractiveness then over-estimates their actual value.
He fell for that boomer mindset of feminism, and that women can do whatever men can. Through in probably some guilt for being a pimp Daddy in his youth too.
It's a good hearted attempt, but naive.

You are the hands down the most downvoted poster on the PB, and I think you take personal pride in being a fricked up liberal who can’t admit maybe you mighty be misguided. Your just another idiot that I laugh at

A decision that could fix the way government fails to work.
Hold that the foreigner birthing industry is wrong and must be discontinued
Hold that individuals not in the birthing industry have a right to stay in country, but not participate in welfare programs or vote until Congress has developed specific requirements for birthright citizenship.

Wong's parents were NOT here on a visa

I'm nothing close to a liberal
In fact I'm arguing against the court ruling on the case like liberals

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't WKA's parents be subject to the Chinese Exclusion Act and therefore never eligible to become citizens themselves? I'll wait for an answer before I go further.

You are correct

I think the CEA just meant the parents could not be naturalized at that time.

This notion that the only thing holding back the American Left from unleashing all sorts of progressive hell upon out country is certain Republican or Republican leaning branches/institutions/factions not “opening the door” for them to do so, seems to me one of the most ridiculous canards in modern politics.

If the non-Left is going to act like the Left, what's the difference in the two?

Right, but how does that jive with this board's current obsession with "gotta be here legally, permanently, and only citizens can give birth to citizens?" Although the solicitor general said they're not asking the court to overturn WKA, I'm meant to believe that Chinese who were legally barred from citizenship gave birth to a citizen, but someone who's here lawfully and temporarily can't?

People that are here illegally by and large are fugitives from justice and subject to deportation upon arrest. They have broken the law to be here and their offspring should not be rewarded.
Most others here on temporary visas are by design to be returned home. Their offspring should not be awarded citizenship either.
People coming in here just long enough to have a child? That is foolish of us to allow that.

This is a hard one……. So many shite decisions, it would be hard to pick just one.

I think his presidency will be defined as “potential”, but a slight road bump of the status quo.
He really is awful at appointing people.

Robert H. Jackson says “so frickin’ what?” Did you not study that case at Costco Law School, Frito?

quote:Yup. Yet anohter example of the logic pretzle one has to assume to make the EO valid. You have to create an extra-judicial class for people here illegally, in order to exclude them from existing laws, so they can be handled outside of the 14A. If the admin wins, they won't be able to deport anyone and states won't be able to charge them with any crimes they commit. It will be an amazing piece of irony.
