What you’re not mentioning is that there are no suburbs with McMansions full of everyone that could afford to leave the city, or any F250s pulling a camper and a boat there.

Wuhan and other Chinese cities are the result of a planned economy, high taxes, dense residential communities, and public transportation.

When you import the third world you become the third world.

Doesn't particularly engage me much, comparing America to other current countries and cultures. Most of Western Civilization seems to be on a rapidly downward spiral.

I find it far more telling, comparing the nature of America-2024 to the country we used to be. And in that sense, yes, the county has wildly degraded, becoming a filthy, grubby, third-world sewer of a nation. Low-trust, low-standards, low-character. It's a ghastly shell of its former greatness.

As I said in another post. Color me shocked.

This is all planned by the elite oligarchs. What better way to turn cities into schite holes.

There is no large American city that is safe. That is the big thing. I could walk around Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw etc etc at 3am with ZERO worries. Id be fine without all the suspended monorails and self driving cars. Safe would just be nice.

The problem is that American cities are populated by the unproductive, freeloading dregs of society who outnumber all the productive people and can vote in people that will let them terrorize the city with no consequences.

Idiocracy is pretty much already here. We have entire states run by unqualified, unserious people
