Thank you for the information. What are people hearing about turn out? The poll workers at my location said it had been slower than anticipated.

Same here.

And I’m in blood red territory.

Very concerned.

Democrats are motivated.

Republicans…meh.

I talked to politically connected friend of mine who isn't worried.

I, however, think we're probably going to lose those Supreme Court seats tonight, which might be as significant as any outcome in this state in 2026.

Agree. The Democrat lead in early voting is going to be way too much to overcome today, and those GASC seats sadly could be the first step to Georgia becoming the next Virginia.

Based on the findings of the ethics committee, I guess technically Jordan and Rankin could technically be disbarred, but I don't see that happening after they are seated on the court.

I've always liked Collins, but I worry the ethics investigation into his chief of staff is going to be used against him in the general if he gets through the primary. Sadly, Dooley may have the least baggage. The Georgia GOP needs to put forth better candidates (and better leadership) going forward as the Atlanta blue shield continues to get bigger.

I'm pretty "whatever" about the Senate and Gov slots right now. I don't really care who comes out on top even though I prefer Collins/Burt.

The reality is that it'll probably be as much about the environment in November as the candidate that wins the runoff.

I will breathe much easier if we can hold the Bethel/Warren slots, that'd be a huge W.

That would be catastrophically bad for Georgia.

I just went. Honestly I’m not as concerned about this one or that one in the primary as much as I am the judgeships - main exception, Raffensperger. I went with this:

Gov - Jax
Lt Gov - Dolezal - or whatever
AG - Strick
SOS - Fleming
Senate - Collins
Judgeships - incumbents
Questions - mostly yes, 1 no, 1 unanswered

I called each of my three sisters and my bro in law along with a couple friends yesterday.

“Are you voting tomorrow?”

“I don’t know. Probably not. It’s just a primary.”

“There are a lot of judges that will be decided tomorrow, on the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.”

“Huh? What?”

That was the universal response from all of them.

t's sad to see Georgia moving towards becoming a blue state. If early voting turnout is any indication, it's going to be ugly there for awhile.

Kelvin King is a solid dude and by all appearances would crush it as SoS.

Here's Chris Mora's statement from his website on the election integrity matter:

quote:

Secure Elections to Safeguard Every Vote - Paper Ballots & Voter ID

Free, fair, and honest elections are fundamental to our Republic. The November 4, 2020, election exposed many irregularities, including states failing to follow established election standards, last-minute law changes, and severe issues with mass mail-in ballots. We must restore public trust. Following the objectives outlined in President Trump's Executive Order (14248), my policy is clear: Elections must be honest and worthy of public trust, and we must enforce Federal laws requiring votes be received by Election Day. To achieve this, I will vote in favor of removing all electronic voting machines and transitioning to a national standard of hand-marked, secure paper ballots that are hand-counted at the precinct level; the only method that ensures true voter-verifiable integrity. Voter ID and proof of citizenship would further safeguard our elections with The Save America Act.

I wasn't familiar with Mora until this week, but I like his stance on virtually every issue where he weighs in. Chris Mora appears to be an absolutely viable candidate for the GA-11 seat being vacated by Loudermilk.

Stacey Abrams's sister is Leslie Abrams Gardner, who serves as a Chief United States District Judge for the Middle District of Georgia...is she on the ballot?

Georgia 2026 Election Results to Be Aggregated in Secret Bunker SOS Refusal to Allow State Election Board Observers Violates Law

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/05/georgia-2026-election-results-be-aggregated-secret-bunker/
quote:

Georgia’s 2026 election results will be aggregated on Election Night by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger from a “secret bunker” which is off limits to candidates, the public and even to State Election Board (SEB) members who have requested access.

The secret aggregation of election results is a clear violation of state election transparency law which requires all election officials to conduct all election activities in public. The law specifically states:

“Superintendents, poll officers, and other officials engaged in the conducting of primaries and elections held under this chapter shall perform their duties in public.” O.C.G.A. § 21-2-406

The bunker is operated by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency to mitigate emergency conditions and threats. It is believed to be below an Emergency Operations Center building at an undisclosed location in the metro Atlanta area.

Why Secretary Raffensperger would want to secretly aggregate results in an emergency bunker continues to be inexplicable. All 159 Georgia counties aggregate results from their precincts on Election Night but none do it in secret since such secrecy is prohibited by law.

Federal law also requires that all Congressional candidates be able to observe such election activities. Several federal and state candidates have already expressed concerns, Some are expected to seek an emergency temporary restraining order and writ of mandamus today in an attempt to force Raffensperger to comply with the law. 52 USC § 21083a.

The SEB discussed the secret emergency bunker at their May 1, 2026 remote meeting and requested that, at a minimum, a member of each of the two major political parties be present for the aggregation but Raffensperger’s office has so far denied repeated requests.
