Cops should be in jail, not "suspended". I bet they are getting paid.
Nothing warrants that from a cop. They clearly have enough man power to apprehend that person without kneeing, hitting and slamming him into the ground. NOTHING so if you come up with he raped a 10 year old, it doesn't fricking matter. Cops are not judge, jury and executioner. They apprehend and they get that wrong all the time too.

Meh. If they are going to arrest you, you might as well comply and let them put cuffs on you. Because they are going to arrest you regardless, it just depends on whether you resist and give them an excuse to beat the shite out of you.

Criminal mischief in the second degree

You are 1000% correct however in this case he allegedly spit at someone, and of course that level of criminal activity the cops are able to do whatever they want to the accused.
