You realize you can just not open my threads, right?

I've used the term "blue haired liberals" and various other insults to liberals in my posts. That doesn't seem to bother anyone around here. Most likely because they don't believe those terms apply to them. So when you and others get offended by the term "blueline bootlicker", it's because you must identify with it. Otherwise, it wouldn't bother you. A true conservative believes in limited government. That includes agents of the government.

I mainly post so often to combat the ones always crying "it's just a few cases a year of bad cops". That couldn't be further from the truth.

This is far from some inconsequential news item. It is a huge story in Alabama and is generating interest nationally.

I don't have to open your threads just like you don't have to create them.

Yet here we are.

The majority of your opposition, from what I've seen, do not subscribe to the idea that it's just a few bad cases "a year". It's several a week. But that's to be expected when you're looking at hundreds of thousands of law enforcement across America.

Even setting it to three or four cases per day you're narrowing the focus to .1 or .2% of state/federal law enforcement nationwide.

Normal people realize that's just the nature of the world we live in.

Are there .1 or .2% of doctors who are prescribing entirely too many meds to their patents and recieving kickbacks from big pharma for doing so? Where are your threads decrying doctors? Lawyers?

You could apply that same logic to the general population and criminals. It's a tiny % of the population that commits crimes. The vast majority of the population is good. Does that mean we shouldn't report on or talk about the ones that do commit crimes?

I get where you are coming from but I live less than 20 miles from there and if there is or ever has been a black police officer in Hanceville Ala. I would be shocked. I bet a 100 dollar against the hole in a doughnut that every one of them are white.

It's even harder to imagine hearing that an entire police department was shut down for running a criminal enterprise and thinking that the problem is the poster who brought the information and not the criminals masquerading as law enforcement.

But also, promoting a story that an entire department is being prosecuted as a corrupt entity doesn’t fit the narrative that police have no accountability when they frick up.

Criminals aren't a necessary profession.

Law enforcement is.

Doctors are.

Lawyers are.

Police departments are not necessary. We didn't always have them and did just fine. A sheriff is necessary though. The original role of the sheriff was to serve papers and, if needed, assemble a group of armed citizens. Police departments came about when the government convinced the sheep to give up protecting themselves in favor of a nanny state that had revenue collection as its main goal.

And there's the extremism I'm speaking about.

People would be open to reform, but not abolishment of the police force.

This is why people don't take your threads seriously. Because they've seen your angle. What you're using these threads to advocate for.

I'm not here to argue with you. We're not going to see eye to eye. I'm just here trying to explain to you, because you apparently don't get it, why people laugh and downvote your threads. As I said a few posts ago, it's not the stories, it's the messenger.

So, you're claiming I'm lying and that we have always had police departments in tbe US? And why do you have a problem with the method of defense that the founding fathers intended? Most cops loathe our 2nd amendment rights.
