Republicans knew the number of people voting in the House yesterday. Knew they had a 1 vote margino on the impeachment vote. There was previous bill voted on that was 427 - 2. So 429 members at the house for the Mayorkas vote. So they bring forth the impeachment vote and boom, here comes Al Green in wheelchair and hospital gown at the last minute to tie the vote.
The Dems are scum and play dirty for sure.

quote:

Three House Republicans had already cast votes against impeaching Mr. Mayorkas, and based on attendance at the previous vote, the G.O.P. could afford no more. The tally held steady, and it seemed the indictment that Republicans had promised their base for over a year — accusing Mr. Mayorkas of refusing to comply with the law and breaching the public trust related to a surge of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico — could squeak by along party lines.

Then, like a scene out of a political thriller, Representative Al Green, Democrat of Texas, appeared at the last moment to cast a surprise ballot — from a wheelchair, wearing blue hospital clothing and tan socks. He voted no.

Democrats are disgusting lemmings that do exactly what their lord Satan tells them to do. Lock step every single time.

I would have a tiny bit of respect for them, if they ever had some independent thinkers who would break with the party on some votes, but nope. They must all be either compromised or threatened into being lock step automatons.

All the Dems did was simply show up and vote....Republicans should definitely try that approach at some point...

Oh no! The performative impeachment led to people actually voting against it.

Looks to me like you ire should be directed towards the 3 that didn't support the "team". All Green did was do what he is allowed to do...vote.

This WWE bullshite is exactly why people have no faith in Congress. Well, one of the many reasons anyway.

“These dirty, rotten Republicans are just having their way! They’ve got ‘em outnumbered. Someone needs to get in there…. Wait a minute…. Wait a minute.. that’s… THAT’S AL GREEN!!! bah God that’s Al Green!!!! He’s supposed to be out with an injury but Al Green is in the building tonight and he’s voting no on anything that bah God moves!!!”

Dusty Rhodes couldn’t have written it up better and now both sides are backstage slapping each other on the back for the show they just put on for the peasants.

This is on the 3 Republicans and Republican leadership. You never go into a fight simply expecting the other side not to show up. Because that’s when they do.

Congressional Republicans are like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football and the Democrats are Lucy.

Hopefully that will be his last vote ever before he burns in hell... due to natural causes.

Keeping him away from other votes to trick the ruling party into thinking they have the votes or a 1 vote margin, is within the rules but it is deceptive and low.

Exactly
R's have turncoats in their ranks...the Dems do not.
And that is why the Dems win. R's are either stupid or on the take. Traitors to their constituency and they see nothing wrong with being so.

Did I say it was unfair? No I didn't. I said it was dirty trick?

Are you saying that GOP has to wait till everybody can show up and get out of the hospital? You're saying GOP is unfair for having a vote?
Hasn't Scalise been unavailable at times?

Misplaced anger. Need to be mad at the cuck R’s that didn’t do their part. Not the democrat voting along party lines.

Let's be real - if he weren't hidden, one of the RINOs that voted yes would've just voted no. It was never going to pass along "party" lines.
